Squint is not a normal eye condition. When we look at a distance, our eyes remain almost parallel. But when we look at a near object, say 30 cm. from eyes, our eyes no longer remain parallel. At that time our eyes are directed down and towards nose, to focus the object nearby. These two situations are normal.
But when one eye looks straight at the object of regard, and the other eye doesn’t look at the object but is directed either inside or towards the nose, or outside towards the ear, we call it squint.
Squint is Tera Chokh in Bengali/Bangla. The medical term is strabismus.
In this video, the basic aspects of squint have been discussed. What is a squint? What are the different types of squint? Symptoms and signs of squint. Ant it’s treatment. Only the basic aspects.
