No I didn't. It was an easy, cheap fix and I wanted to replace it so it was never an issue in the future.

Were you having an idle issue? Like idles fine when cold but will jump/stall when warm?

Have you been having that problem? I've been racking my brains with running issues with my car when it gets up to temp. Replaced the sensor and it hasn't solved the problem. If a Red sensor came out does it have to be a Red one that goes back in? My was white plastic bit but from a trusted source. Just a thought?

My car wouldn't idle once warmed up, I had to constantly be on the gas so it wouldn't stall. I had read somewhere that your maf has to be a certain length away from the turbo, mine was less than a foot away (I have a top mount turbo) so I added another pipe to extend it down in front of the driver wheel and now it idles. It also doesn't help that I only have a flash tune and a blowoff valve that vents to atmosphere instead of a recirculated one. A management system could take care of both those problems though, if I had power fc I could adjust for my maf at any length and run an atmospheric bov no prob. But I'm broke so for now my extended suction pipe will do, only problem is when it rains and my maf gets wet... uggggghhh.

Peter Hamilton. it's been awhile since I did this but if I remember correctly, there are two different types of coolant temp sensors, one is red and the other black (if it's an oem sensor). You should install the correct sensor according the year motor, ecu and harness that you have. For example, mine was a s13 red top with 62 ecu, so I needed the one shown in this video. hope this helps.

GuamBombs the mafs getting wet could definitely cause an issue if the actual sensor or wires get wet. It seems like you have got everything under control and figured out. happy boosting! i miss my sr20.

I would not trust the stock temperature gauge to begin with. Aftermarket gauge is definitely a better option.

It should be in a similar area. The intake manifold runners are a little different but like I mentioned before, it should be in the same area.
