NANDED
Nanded is a city in Maharashtra state, India. It is the tenth largest city in the state and the seventy-ninth most populous city in India. It is the second largest city in Marathwada region. It is the district headquarters of Nanded district.
Nanded is famous today for its undisputed highlight, the establishment of Gurudwara Hazur Sahib, where Guru Gobind Singh Ji - the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, breathed his last, devoting his entire life to the service of mankind.
The tenth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh spent his last days in Nanded and passed his guruship to the sacred holyscript to Guru Granth Sahib before his death here in 1708.
According to the India Population Census 2011, the Sikh population in the Nanded area is a mere 2% at 11017. Whereas the Hindus & the Muslims population stands at 48% and 34% respectively.

LOCATION
Nanded is located on the banks of river Godavari in west-central India. Nanded has two parts: Old Nanded 20.62 square kilometres (7.96 sq mi) occupies the north bank of the Godavari river; New Nanded, to the south of the river, 31.14 square kilometres (12.02 sq mi) encompasses Waghala and neighbourhoods.
SRI HAZUR SAHIB
Hazur Sahib ('presence of the sahib/master'), also known as Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib, is one of the five Takhts in Sikhism. The gurdwara was built between 1832 and 1837 by Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780-1839). It is located on the banks of the Godavari River at the city of Nanded in the state of Maharashtra, India.
The structure is built at the place where Guru Gobind Singh Ji left his earthly life. The gurdwara within the complex is known as Sach-Khand (Realm of Truth). The inner room of the gurdwara is called the Angitha Sahib and is built over the place where Guru Gobind Singh ji was cremated in 1708.
ROOMS FOR OVER-NIGHT STAYS
The gurudwara has beautiful campus and a/c 3 star rooms are available if one wishes to stay overnight for just 500 to 700 INR max. Guru ka Langar (Free Community Kitchen) is served here all through the day and night.
