What a wonderful interview. A guy who truly seems grounded yet having had some extra ordinary experiences. Seems to be a very nice guy as well. I so enjoy these interviews. I've seen almost all of them during the years. It has almost become like a spiritual practice. It's so refreshing not to be alone with these thoughts about enlightenment. To feel validated and understood. It really helps along the path.

I could listen to Sri M all day! Fantastic interview; By the way, scientists analysed hair taken from supposed Yeti remains or where it has left hair (several sources tested) a year ago and discovered it was a hybrid mix of polar bear and brown bear! It seems the 'coupling' took place in Siberia, many thousands of years ago, and the animal gradually spread out, increasing its range.

1.55, ( if by some miracle, If i become pope one day ....i shall switch he book of Genesis with the Isha Upanishad ;-) I write this silly statement to express my love for this short ,beautiful teaching. So nice to hear the ' Ísha Upanishads mentioned .as a recommendation. Almost near the end of the interview, I stumbled on the Isha Upanishads , Four/five years ago. At a moment in my life when i believed which classic Scripture had to offer what. The common factor of the many religious/philosophic, etc,etc scriptures like the Upanishads , Sutras , Sutás, Gospels , out there is this. If one has studied a certain amount of them.One does not need to have read them all, to get a General 'feeling' of the context. The semantics, structures, concepts, etc .become familiar over time. During my student years, The Upanishads always felt like a giant puzzle . One needs to know about Hindu mythology, and it's symbolism , before even beginning to understand the deeper layers under the apparent stories. Some 20 years later, i saw a little 2nd hand booklet , called the' Ísha Upanishads ', and bought it on an impulse. It blew me out of my 'spiritual bias socks'..Ha.... . Having heard the name of this shortest Upanishads, It was not as i expected at all , It seemed so...modern(?) I first considered having bought a 20th century ' re- invention'. Or at least a very subjective translation. To my surprise it was a quite accurate version of one of the earliest Upanishads, Written long before the' official birthday of the ádvaita Vedanta ' school. i would advise everyone who is interested in advaita to read it. It is short, and has a minimum of 'gods, Very inspiring, That such a direct 'pointer' was written so long ago, to end this..'promotional talk' .If one is interested in the notion of how quantum mechanics and Eastern teachings come to the same conclusion.The first part of this upanishad is one of the better examples for these claims. ( this is all my personal opinion..offcourse )

It seems to me the Upanishads claim to the knowing that Brahma was the first Man to create beings beyond himself based on his own experiences. Perhaps he had only given creation to the thought or concept of beings beyond the basic level of awareness. Perhaps if everything is Brahm this could mean that they knew a Truth about Spacetime dilation and manifestations thereof. Essentially, nothing is real, as too nothing is false, for there to be One there must be the nothing, this goes on forever or as long as you care to go. . Transcend

I do not care to judge or taint this individual, I merely like to point out an observations. The youtube video wherein souljourns interviews him, in part 1, indicates fraudulent behavior. He claims to make holy ashes appear from his hands and appeared to do so in the interview, however, a youtube commenter pointed out that before making the ash appear, he did not talk with his hands what so ever. Whereas after, he was talking with his hands all the time, showing he probably prepared the ash in his hands to fake a miracle.

I would like to point out a few observations from my side as food for thought. 1) If you read the autobiography you will find that Sri M was an experienced Magician and could give a full fledged 2 hour Magic performance including levitation. He once shocked Jiddu Krishnamurty by levitating in the middle of his dinner table. He claims that this knowledge of magic enabled him to distinguish between fraudsters and genuine yogis. Hence he says that hhe never thought highly of tricks and was never side tracked in his search. 2) The person interviewing Sri M in soul sojourns is a devotee of Sri Satya Sai Baba. In his interview with Dr Karan Singh, Sri M once again states that he thinks nothing of certain type of magic/miracles that Sri Satya Sai Baba exhibited such as conjuring "Ash"; and he demonstrates the same again to Dr Singh. The interviewer in Soul SouJourns tries to push his view stating that sometimes these "chocolates/tricks" attract the masses to the "real deal". But I have seen other videos of Sri M where he feels that invariably such tricks distract from Serious spirituality.Most people go for the "trick" and miss the "hint". I believe from what I have heard so far over the last couple of years, he disdains both "miracles" and "magic tricks" if they are exhibitory in nature;and he does not really care to draw too fine a line between the two; but this is just my opinion. (As an aside - We once asked another Guru whom i respect a lot whether Sri Satya Sai Baba's was genuinely capable etc; and his answer was that unless there is some "Shakti" working with such a person it is impossible to achieve what was actually done such as hospitals, schools etc solely driven by people's devotion. So it seems that even evolved masters can sometimes hold different opinions about certain issues. ) 3) A side thought...what if the Ash could be "really" materialised and was not a trick. Assuming that he was not moving his hands but how did he hide the smell?? In soul sojourns the Author clearly states that he experienced an incredible Jasmine smell after the materialisation was done. Assuming that this was hidden all the time in his palms, he should have a good strategy for suppressing smells as well. I personally do now know if this was magic or genuine materialisation. But what I do know is that Sri M rarely gives such demonstrations. He spends his time walking 7500 KM for public harmony or planting trees or teaching Vedanta. I think this demonstrates far more spirituality in action than some ideas about "fake Ash" vs "real ash". Note :- I am not a follower. I met him once while he was on his walk; he acknowledged me and a friend in a manner such that both of us can never forget him. I can respect him just for the grace and dignity with which he greeted me. There was no Superiority complex/ or "I am the Great Yogi" and "who the hell are you" kind of thing. He was not expecting me to Bow down or anything of that sort; I really never had the opportunity to do so though I would have loved to.There was just a genuine open smile; something that is possible only when you are very sorted inside. All of this was when he was extremely tired after his walk. Note:- I am largely quoting from my memory. But if needed I can also provide video links. Just will require more time to find them.

I was a skeptic for a long time till I experienced some of these miracles. And these were not the sleight of hand variety. I am now open to the idea that it is possible. I draw a line now: if the person is humble and seeks no compensation of whatever kind and is moreover open to share with me the technique in case I am interested- it is not fake.
@DavidTitus_

Miracles are real, frauds as well. Looking at it objectively, it's just very suspicious his hands were not moving until he made ash disappear, because that's also how you would prepare faking it.
