The S.S. Kamloops sank in December 1927 in Isle Royale Michigan. It was located in 1977 in 200-270 feet of water on it's starboard side. The ship was carrying a mixed cargo of lifesavers, toothpaste, fencing, tar paper, matches, shoes and many other goods. The cargo holds are still full of cargo preserved in the cold fresh water. Unfortunately no one survived. Those who did survive the sinking died of exposure on land. One stewardess wrote a message that was later found in a bottle saying "I am the last one left alive, freezing and starving to death on Isle Royale in Lake Superior. I just want mom and dad to know my fate." The engineer's corpse is still inside the engine room.
