I'm a total noobie at this but I do have some experience with a KUKA robot. I wish that was this easy to run! Thanks for this Video.

Nice video and helpfull video. I have the old SSC-32 that i run with this software but the servo's acting all weird and somtimes dont move when i move the slider. you think it can be the board thats causing this? Thinking about to order the SSC-32U board

Hi very nice and informative video. I have a question though, is there a way to control the board using Visual Basic? And how do you read from analog inputs, since the software you showed simply just controls the servos. Thanks in advance.
@RobotShopTV

3D Printwiz Yes, but we don't have sample code to provide. You can read through the manual of the SSC-32 / 32U to see the communication protocol and commands which you would send via your computer's COM port. Same applies for the analog pins.

Very informative video, So after making a sequence how do you tell the ps2 controller to use the sequence? thank you for your help and time!!
@RobotShopTV
Жыл бұрын
Hi, Thank you for your comment. There is a "trigger" at the start of the sequence which can be associated with a PS2 button. Note that the PS2 style controller is connected to the computer: it's either directly USB or via receiver to USB adapter. Hope this helps. Regards

@@RobotShopTV I'm very new to this, one last question, can I hook up the ps2 Bluetooth module straight to the SSC-32 controller? I don't need any extra sensors or anything like that I just want to control the servos. I am building the Lynxmotion Symmetric Quadruped Kit (FlowBotics Studio) with the stronger 133oz/in servos using the leg kit, servos, SSC-32 and ps2 Bluetooth from Robotshop.

@@SomethingFishy707 Hi again, Unfortunately the PS2 controller is not Bluetooth and requires the receiver which cannot be connected directly to the SSC-32U and must go through the computer. We're happy to help, so if you have any further questions, it's best to create a new post on the RobotShop Forum. community.robotshop.com/forum/c/lynxmotion/13 Regards,

Hi, thanks for a great video. I need some help. Is it possible to use the SSC-32 to operate at 360 degrees because I need it to control a car where the motors are attached on the wheels. Thanks again.

all you need is ssc-32,servo and The SSC-32 Servo Sequencer Utility software? just that?
@RobotShopTV

You also need a power supply such as a 6V NiMh battery or wall adapter (and an optional 9V battery for the logic), as well as either a serial cable or USB to serial adapter.

@RobotShopTV

Thank you for your inquiry. The SSC-32 Servo Sequencer Software is only meant to work with the Lynxmotion SSC-32U RC Servo Controller found on RobotShop. There is currently no export feature or Arduino compatibility.

Once you have completed a sequence can it be sent to the board so your robot can be untethered? I've been working with the pololu mini maestro and I'm getting frustrated by the lack of speed control options. Great video, thanks!
@RobotShopTV

chrisjhart221138 The SSC-32 servo controller simply responds to commands from another device, so you don't really have use of onboard memory. You can send commands from a microcontroller or computer.

RobotShopTV Thanks for the reply. So in the simplest way, what would I need to buy in addition to the ssc-32 so I can set it to run a sequence without being plugged in? At the moment I'm using a maestro which does that, but does not give me great enough control of the servo speeds.

You'd need a BotBoarduino (or other microcontroller). If you simply want to "cut the wires", we offer a Bluetooth version: www.robotshop.com/en/lynxmotion-ssc-servo-controller-bluetooth-kit.html

RobotShopTV Strange. I sent Lynxmotion a message about a few things and their response about the SSC is that I could send data to be stored in the SSC. I'm not looking to control it remotely, just program a few servo loops and leave it to cycle through them. Were you perhaps thinking about controlling remotely over bluetooth? - that would make sense :)
