The History:
St. Anton's Vallugalift has become infamous amongst skiers in the area due to its extremely steep final pitch. After taking the Vallugabahn I cable car, to ski back to St. Anton, skiers must take this T-Bar. While it is a short ride, the last pitch will throw off many people who are new to T-Bar lifts.
The Lift:
The Vallugalift was installed in 1969 by Doppelmayr and while its history is not entirely clear, it is likely that there was a lift here before as there is no other way to ski from the top of the Vallugabahn cable car to St. Anton. It features a bottom tensioned return terminal and a top drive terminal. Until 2019, this lift had a relatively isolated top terminal, but the installation of the Schindlergrat made it so its top terminal resides next to the Vallugalift's.
