Ramsey Island comprises 640 acres and is managed as a nature reserve for a broad range of sea birds. It lies about 1 kilometre off St David's Head in Pembrokeshire, southwest Wales.
Its early history saw it owned by the Church until the early 1900’s when it was sold into private ownership and farmed. It has some of the highest sea cliffs in Wales and has spectacular breeding colonies of nesting seabirds. Its coastline incorporates dramatic sea caves and narrow rock gorges. The waters around the island are also a good place to see Atlantic Grey Seals and Harbour Porpoise.
