The bribery is ridiculous: "Pop off over there and we'll leave you alone..." But in any case, it was a lie; another copper stopped you anyway, on a public pavement. You can indeed film what the eye can see. However, what you can't do is trespass on others land which he was doing as the police man explained. No law is broken because trespassing is a civil offence. Any reputable auditor would not want to trespass and will leave the land of course.
@Bourne-jp3tm
3 жыл бұрын
When people are acting suspiciously, a Police Officer is entitled is go and ask questions, especially in this case as the male was trespassing on Police property at one point. Police asking questions is perfectly reasonable. Until the Police are satisfied that the male was just filming and not committing any offences they can approach him and speak to him to see what his intentions are. Nothing wrong in that. The male in this video didn’t need to go onto Police land to film the church, which was quite a way away. If he was that bothered about the church he would have gone nearer it. He was just wasting everybody’s time and doing it on purpose. Like I said in a previous comment what was the point. He’s just a sad man and pathetic.

@@Bourne-jp3tmA police station is public access, that is why there are no signs saying "Private Property". If access is barred to the public, there is usually a sign or a wall, gate, fence etc... As for wasting police time, you are completely missing the point. These YT'ers are making a point that photography is not a crime and for the police use up their resources challenging photographers is a waste of public funds. Andrew Trotter sent out a letter to all forces in 2010 (and nothing has changed) saying that police should not attempt to stop MOP filming in public, even when filming the police. He says that the police need to keep the public on their side, for example, if there is a call for video of an incident that would help them. And you do see this happening. Just imagine how much more productive the forces would become if they diverted their attention away from non-crimes and concentrated on crimes.
@Bourne-jp3tm
3 жыл бұрын
@@simonabbott7323 I’m not missing the point. What Trotter said is right I agree but going back to what I said before if the Police find somebody acting suspiciously on Police property, public access or restricted they are entitled to ask questions to establish if there is anything else going on other than just photography. The Police aren’t to know a persons Mens Rea unless they question someone to establish the situation. And if they think someone is lying which people do in some cases when questioned by the Police they can view the footage on the camera under the Terrorism Act. Only then if they are satisfied that nothing else is going they can let them get on with it. In this case there was no need for the YT to be there, so I disagree with you on that front. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself (as the saying goes) or if you're a copper the only thing you have to fear is fear and cameras. I googled it and it is a genuine phobia here it is: People who suffer from fear of cameras. At most times are purposely avoiding coming into contact with what it is that triggers them to experience fear or anxiety in the first place. This might seem like a good quick fix but truth is as mentioned above, if not completely understood what you are experiencing might start hurting or limiting your life in the long run. Sometimes, the people suffering from Cameraphobia, which is a of things phobia, try to avoid not only the exact objects (in this case cameras) or situations that trigger it but sometimes in severe cases the thought of those thing all together. This is all well and good, but should this not be brought up on PC plods medical questionnaire? and why do 99.8% of them have it?? pathetic.

@Prozac Blade Why is it bollox? Just cos you don't like it? The police authority own the station and land, including the car park. You can check it on the Land Registry if you are doubtful. Under English property law that means its private property. Sure, our taxes, and public funds finance it, but that doesn't mean "we", or "the people" or "the public" own it. If your filming on private property you can be asked or told to stop. If you don't stop you can be removed from the premises using reasonable force, and no, that is NOT an assault. It's not a police thing, anyone can remove a trespassers from their own property. The cop at 6.00 was correct in what he said and quite polite about it. If Matt had been on the pavement just outside the car park then that conversation wouldn't have happened. This happens because many auditors and their followers believe that if you can "access" an area or property, then you have a legal "right" to film there. And sadly THAT really is bollox !

Exactly! Now you see why there are more and more people exposing these treasonous corrupt coward police for "turning up just to cause a scene" and utterly waste time which the tax payers have to fund. They genuinely believe they are entitled to preferential treatment and to be exempt from the rights of the people and can abuse their trusted police powers to oppress innocent people and enforce their opinions and preferences!

If this bloke was walking his dog. Minding his own business, doing nothing really, and started getting shit for it... fine, I would agree.. but the train of thought seems to be, let's go where I don't need to, start filming not for any reason except he knew cops would ask him to move, and give him the opportunity to start on about rights, and start agro. He wouldn't have got any grief walking down the road. He went looking for it, got it,then moans about it.. Didn't make sense to me?

@@Cwilliams2109 if you genuinely don't see what the purpose is i really can't help you however if you actually understand what is at play but just don't like it or something then you can always just choose to not watch it and choose to watch something you actually have an interest in or support.

@@east-endjustice7883 Yeah I don't see it. Just trouble making. Like causing trouble in a night club, then moaning at the bouncers for throwing you out. I only watched some of it, cos I live in St Helens, but forgetting it now like you say. Move onto something I have an interest in.

hi mat, i'm sure you don't want to enrage these sausages to the point where they'd want to arrest you, but you do need to start holding then accountable

When they ask what you are doing say something like "I am a British citizen going about my lawful business. That is public photography. Are you making my lawful activity suspicious? Are you attempting to infringe upon my civil, civic and human rights?."
