On Saturday, September 7th, the St. James Town community came alive with vibrant celebrations at the 2024 St. James Town Festival themed "Greener and Safer: Reviving and Rebuilding Relationships." Held in the heart of St James Town neighbourhood, the festival ran from 1 to 7 PM, offering a day filled with fun activities, cultural performances, and a variety of food and vendor stalls.
Despite some rain and unpredictable weather, the spirit of the community shone through as residents enjoyed diverse performances, including Chinese and Indian dancers, a kids' fashion show, seniors' dancing, singers, and Indigenous drumming.
The festival also provided an opportunity for local service providers to share information about the resources available in St. James Town, and featured booths from Councillor Chris Moise and Kristyn Wong-Tam’s offices.
Hosted by the St. James Town Community Corner, the St. James Town Festival celebrated the neighborhood's rich diversity, bringing neighbors together to highlight the cultural richness of one of Toronto’s most diverse communities. Now, let’s hear from the community members themselves in our video coverage
