Love it! Glad you enjoyed St. John's, my wife and I were there that same week and flew out Sunday afternoon, managed to snap a picture of the same Cruise ship from the airplane. So happy the weather worked out for you, we were there for 3 weeks in June and it was cold and foggy every day! So many other things I could recommend for the surrounding area.... Petty Harbour, Bay Bulls, Ferryland to name a few! Hope you get to visit the Bonavista area and Gros Morne National Park! Happy travels!!

I wouldn’t call St John’s a little town. It’s a city of over 100,000 people! Very nice video! Thanks!
@MrJayehawk

It's all relative. If you've spent time in places like Toronto or New York, St. John's definitely has much more of a welcoming, small-town feel. It's a terrific little city.

@@dilemma958 Yea because a city with the head branches of every big business in the province is small. With giant ships in the harbour. Who cares where you've been. Know where you're at. Whats the point of traveling if your macro knowledge is zero by the end. Imagine finishing school but you cant do basic math. That's what this is, but I guess that has gone right over your head too. Like I said the stupidity of most people is annoying.

This video makes the city look really good, but I live in Saskatoon and there are videos that can make this city look good too lol, and it simply is NOT! I just wonder if anyone can tell me HONESTLY if St John's is actually nice and properly funded because I'm seriously considering a move out East for cheaper living and to forever get away from Saskatoon and Saskatchewan. I just don't want to end up in another ghetto, and I would really appreciate anyone's thoughts and advice about St Johns!!! :)

Don’t be so rude. If you come from big cities like New York, Toronto, etc. , you could easily call St. John’s a town. There’s a reason why people outside St.John’s often say “we are going to town” when they are going to St. John’s. They don’t say “we are going to St. John’s”.

Great video, but one correction: Cape of Punta Mariato in Panama is the southernmost point in mainland North America. The cape makes up the southwestern tip of the Azuero Peninsula. Also St John’s is not a little town LOL. Population from 2021 census - City 110,525 - Urban 178,427 - Metro 205,955 Tepoztlán, Morelos, Mexico: 1500 BCE. The name Signal Hill far predates Marconi’s wireless experiment. As merchant ships approached the coast, a flag representing the merchant would be flown on the top of the hill, allowing the longshoremen to gather at the wharves to unload, and reload the ships. Since these employees would be scattered across the town, this allowed the quickest management of incoming goods.
