At the May 7 St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meeting, County staff provided a presentation that outlined the BOCC’s previous and current investment during the past four years of more than $588 million in capital improvement projects for roadways, drainage, facilities and costal projects from 2021 to 2024.
The four-year capital investment into roadways, drainage, facilities, and coastal infrastructure included 60% funded through combined federal & state grants, development impact fees, and developer contributions, 27% funded by the Transportation Trust Fund, and 13% funded from other sources including tourism dollars and borrowing.
