A Feastday Celebration Marks 50 Years
St Wilfrid's Day is always the high point in the Calendar for pupils and staff at St Wilfrid's Catholic High School and Sixth Form College, Featherstone and this year was no exception.
On Thursday 24th October, two thousand people; past and present pupils, staff, governors, Head Teachers from the Bishop Konstant Academy Trust and across the Diocese of Leeds gathered in a marque on the school fields to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of St Wilfrid's.
The celebrations began with Mass and after a thoroughly wet week the sun was shining as people gathered in the tent. Before the Mass began, pupils shared their joy through dancing and a drama piece reflecting on the last 50 years of life at St Wilfrid's.
