Today we take a ride on one of Stagecoach's Open Top Tridents on the 122 from Torquay Strand to Ansteys Cove Road wile operating a service up to St MaryChurch. The Tridents allocated to the route are rather nice examples and are well suited to the route, hence why Stagecoach purchased the batch of Tridents for use on the 12 when new, which the 122 mostly follows. Stagecoach operate a very smart fleet, with the South West being no different to this. Branded for the 122 are 6 ALX400s, 1 MX54 acquired from Stagecoach South (acquired after it went below a bridge) and 5 WA05s converted specially for the service. These wear a yellow version of the livery, with one more vehicle wearing it, this being WA10 GHG (15665), which was converted after hitting a low bridge. However, this is branded for the "Big Beach Bus," a service operating between Exmouth and Sandy Bay. The Tridents add to the colour along the coastline, which has other "Hop" branded services, such as the 2 (Purple), 12 (Red) and 22 (Green). Thanks for taking the time to watch. Feel free to subscribe to stay upto date with when I upload!
