How much sanding is required to remove the stains after you're done? Wouldn't it be better to use scrap pieces?
@diktater

That would require some thinking my friend. And obviously they like sanding more than thinking. Next vid will be of client being offered refund
@thomascalton3067

Actually, most unfinished hardwood floors require sanding at two different grits, so you put samples on the floor between sanding. Most designers and homeowners prefer to see a larger sample on their floor than just a scrap piece of wood, so it's just good business. The amount of sanding to remove the stain is no more than you would already be doing. It's not like removing years and decades of finish or varnish

@@thomascalton3067 you have no idea what you are talking about!! If you want to get those dark stains out , you will need at least 3 passes with 36 grit. That's a far cry from the final 2 sanding steps with grits in the hundreds.

It was always so funny to me that people would want to see four shades of brown and then had such a hard time choosing. @@thomascalton3067 I mean itll either make or break the room. I just painted the spare bedroom in my papas house, and had the floor replaced after.
