STAIN-CRETE Installation Guide
1. PATCH
Thoroughly clean and patch any chipped or broken areas of concrete that are less than 1 square foot. Larger areas should be patched with New-Crete and allowed to cure for a minimum of 3 days. Note: Because of the nature of the stain it will react differently with each and every concrete surface.
2. SCRAPE
After all patching material has cured and a concrete slab is at least fourteen days old, take the floor scraper and run it across the floor or wall making sure to remove any paint, dry wall mud, mortar etc.
3. DEGREASE
Scrub the concrete surface with a solution of Grease Away degreaser and water. For general purpose cleaning mix 4 - 8 fluid ounces of degreaser to one gallon of water, and for tougher stains use full strength degreaser. After the surface has been scrubbed with a stiff nylon scrub brush or rotary floor machine (175 rpm), allow the material to work in for a few minutes and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Repeat the process until there is no sign of grease, oils or beading water on the surface.
4. MASK OFF
Mask off all adjoining areas with duct tape and plastic sheeting (i.e. walls, fences, railings, shrubs etc.) Also, rope off a work area on a piece of plastic sheeting or plastic tarp to set the containers on.
