I have a Service Dog at 157 and really like it for deep days. I am 5 foot 10 205 lb. I think it's a great tree powder board with good groomer carving capability as well. It is flexible. Have you tried it?

Ya, I think the Service Dog would be a lot of fun. Haven't tried it yet though.

Hey, Brigham! Luvin your reviews as well! So nice to have yet another take alongside Beastie / Angry / SB Robot / and Board Archive to name a few... Keep it up! I was floored to read in the comments (of the Elevated Egg review) that on haven't been on any of Ride's boards recently / I'm sure you've been told a thousand times 🤓 that I think you'd really dig the War (and Super) pig / and the Mtn for that matter... But, I'd luv to see you jam-on / and review the Shadowban... Hands-down, my favorite deck of the 23/24 season. Such a dialed all-mtn / freeride machine🏂🤸👍 lol --- Ha, regardless, just throwing my two-cents in to get you on a few of Ride's machines... (Cough cough --- Shadow-cough-ban!) ---- Easily Angry's favorite review (and board) of the year... he was gitty about that deck... And, haa, obviously, so am I 👍 The on-snow (overall) feel of that deck is simply primo!👌Ha, regardless, just a shout-out to keep up the stellar work... It's mucho appreciated across this vast community of ours! RIDE-ON, muchacho! --- that's all it's truly ever about 🌨👊🏂⛄

Thanks for love! Ya Ride is a big gap and I need to fix it. I did demo a Shadowban and Moderator and Deep Fake but didn't feel like I knew them well enough to review. I liked the Deep Fake a lot.

Why would you get push back, most all these reviewers are selling boards, how is someone supposed to like or love every board they try. There are preferences for everyone. But if you're trying 50 boards a season, 1 will be the best for certain conditions and one will be worst to you. Just be honest, and anyone who tells you your supposed to like something, is an idiot. I'm 180 lbs and ride smaller boards all the time. Keep em comin.

Amen brotha! A lot of people are looking for validation when they watch reviews. They want to hear that the board/brand they chose is the best thing they could've spent their money on. Which is an unfortunately way of thinking because there really is no "best board" beyond very specific conditions.

Love the channel but you’re pronunciation of this board is making all the skater kids laugh:)

I’ve heard it both ways but that’s how you pronounce his name (ish), so that’s how I’m gonna say it, but I see your point!

I'm 6' 220lbs and 12.5 boots. Bought the new fish in 160 and short story I love it. I actually wanted a stiffer board and while it is stiffer it's not to stiff at all. Maybe it's my weight but I can flex it nicely. To me this is not a short wide board at all. Waist is far to narrow to call it a short wide imo. Your reviews are cool and appreciated man. Nothing wrong with not liking some boards. It's actually more genuine. Reviewers that love everything are not really reliable :)

Thanks for you thoughts! Glad you like it. I think the 35 pound swing would make all the difference in the world. Beasty seems to love it, and he’s quite a bit heavier for his size than me as well. Makes sense.

I’ve got a ‘23 153 and I’ve been between 165-180lbs. I’d say it’s a versatile pow board that’ll hold up to some more technical freeriding. It is stiffer than I had anticipated and it hasn’t really broke-in/down either. I’ve had the Ride C-9 and Jones Mercury on it, but have now settled on the Rome Cleaver (Stale edition)… which, shouldn’t be surprising, are the perfect match. The tube in the nose really loads up in tight transitions. I need to work on my nollies and maybe try a Tame Dog someday.

Nice. I haven't been able to test it this way, but I do think this could be a good board for some of the springtime volcano tour we do. Steep, a little more technical and aggressive...

I feel like this is the same type of story with the Warpig! Looks like a powder board but really an All mountain freestyle board. If you size it for float, it becomes sluggish on groomers.

I had a Stalefish in the quiver for a bit. Wasn't my favorite and it got rotated out. For what it is I have some other short/wides where the ride is more unique/fun. I'm sure there are fans out there it just wasn't a fit for me.

Warpig, Excavator, Backslash, Almanac, Service Dog & Gentemstick XY for next year? After watching all your vids I think you'll love the Excavator. Im similar build & have tried just about every volume shifted board & that one takes the cake for what im trying to do. 162 was a bit too much for me but i seem to like riding a size smaller than you usually prefer. 158 is all i rode 2nd half of the season

Almanac was the funnest board of this flavor that I tried this year. Backslash is always solid too but to be honest I’m pretty much over the volume shifted thing. I do like the 158 excavator a lot, just didn’t get on it enough to do a proper review.

I bought a 158 excavator. I ride a berzerker 163w and flagship 165w. I'm 6'2 215-220 and find the excavator too wimpy for me. Doesn't really fit my riding style sadly. It's fun in powder trees, but I really didn't hit them this year. I found out I like only a certain type of board. Stiff and long sidecuts.
@casey1400

@@evanjohnson1740 It probably felt too wimpy because you're 6'2" 220 on the 158 😂 The 162 probably woulda been the better size but everybody is different. I'm 175lb on the 158. The Flagship is a shred stick too! love that board.

Most of the boards you ride are pretty long for your weight, you should try shorter boards more often in all honesty.
@Drift-Products

I did that before I started making reviews. Followed the trends and rode everything shorter for like three seasons. Intentionally swung the other way this season and I can tell ya for me and my riding, if I have to choose I’ll almost always go bigger over smaller. The industry has convinced everyone that height isn’t a factor in board size. Not true. :)

I'm 6' ft 225 lbs and with a size 12 boot. And honestly with boards like this I've learned I can even ride the 154....and not see a huge difference. I ride a 154 k2 excavator and it's fine. Some boards I think need to be smaller forsure.
@Drift-Products

@@P0PADVENTURES well technically you can ride anything! It depends a lot on where, what, and how you’re riding too. In low angle Utah backcountry, no way is the 154 wide or long enough to provide the float and speed I want.
@TheDerekHyde

Length is simply more stable at speed… Probably more-so with a higher center of gravity.
