@oscar alegre that‘s not ironic-What the movie shows in this scene is the prayer before battle and this is the Wehrmacht not a political party. My grandfather and his brothers fought in Russia and they didn’t want to hear anything about political speeches, big words or Hitler at the front. Thats what the movie shows in a great way. Second, the political leaders of the NSDAP knew that they better not fight the church openly (Bismarck burnt his fingers in this fight 50years before Hitler). There's just one thing I realized... I am German btw and I have watched it several times: There are some soldiers with the IC-II-medal... but none with the 'frozen-meat-medal' ('Battle-in-the-East-Medal') worn at the same location where the IC-II was worn.

Summary: Lt.’s request/suggestion is declined. Commanding officer then tells him he’s a good friend of his uncle and had promised him he’d look after the Lt. Lt. told the cigarette-offering officer what to carry out (collect this, that) immediately following the chaplain’s statement. Chaplain talks about the danger of the Bolsheviks (true) and how there is no higher honor than to protect the German people from the dangers of the Bolsheviks.

Это не причёска под Фрица ! Они повзаимствовали их у американских стиляг. Подобные причёски были и у нас в конце 80х-начале 90-х.

The Soviet General Vasily Chuikov knew the Luftwaffe was one of the biggest advantages to the German army. So he ordered his troops to be as close as possible to the Germans, to “hug them”. Therefore the Stukas and He 111s wouldn’t dare bomb the positions if that meant killing their own men.
