around here DUI's are a big cash grab/boosts the numbers of crimes "solved". The solved rate of almost any other category is shockingly low. You can easily lose your case based on subjective opinion, and you can expect every buzzword in the book to show up at some point even if not noted in a citation. The whole glossy, red watery eyes, slurred speech, smells etc. The lowest tiered dui is basically tied to also just being "impaired", so being tired, or simple lack of not paying attention for a second can still win them the day. That is even if you pass the chemical testing and all. It is pretty ruthless, even with a vetted attorney. @@kaptainkaos1202

It’s a scary world where people can make such heinous claims against someone they claim to care about and I’d never blame authorities for taking any claim like that seriously at first. As long as you’re not doing anything wrong and can prove otherwise, there’s nothing to worry about, (Ie, this young lady passing her sobriety test). Decades ago I was stalked by an ex, at that time, there were no laws against stalking. It got so bad that my family arranged to move me across the state secretly in the middle of the night. I had 3 peaceful years before I had to deal with him again. It was so frightening and he was wicked bad and he felt like he was untouchable.

My ex-husband was just like this guy. A little more charming, but believed his own lies and convinced law enforcement and judges that I wasn't right. Last hearing we had, he had people even laughing. I said "Remember his name. You'll see it in the news someday and you won't be laughing". Sure enough, 4 years later he died while holding people hostage for $.

This guy is not only compulsive, he's a pathological liar. He lies about everything, even things that he doesn't need to lie about. He is also a violent sociopath. People like him may represent a small percentage of the population, but the amount of damage they do in society is exponentially higher than the rest of the population. He is also very narcissistic. These Cluster B personality traits are untreatable and they are also the most dangerous. It's just a matter of time before he kills someone.
