July 10, 1985. The airliner Tu-154B-2 of Aeroflot Airlines performed a regular flight SU-5143 on the Karshi-Ufa-Leningrad route, but 46 minutes after take-off, gaining an altitude of 11,600 meters, lost speed, fell into a flat spin and crashed to the ground near the village Kokpatas, 68 kilometers northeast of Uchkuduk.
This disaster was the largest in the number of deaths in the history of Soviet aviation, Tu-154 aircraft and Aeroflot airline. This is the largest plane crash in the history of Uzbekistan for 2021.
