Okay I totally love this! I use OneNote but I don't organize them by theme, I use the numbers CTMH assigns because the search feature gives me where to go find it. I get wishy-washy on them if they don't have a defined theme so after much trial and error, I just went to their given alpha-numeric system. I hadn't even thought about the paper packs though. Great idea. Would definitely help for future purchases but not sure I'm going to invest to catalog the past. Always such great videos! :) Thanks for sharing this.

Love the bin…will be making a trip to Lowes sooner than later, Lol. I have a bin similar to your but bigger & has leather handles that I bought @ the container store. I use that one for my Kiwi Lane templates. I need to give Forevermore a chance, especially since I have been know to purchase duplicates of my Kiwi Lane. Question: How do you get your images of stamps into the system, if that makes sense…
@CraftyConceptswithErin
2 жыл бұрын
I have definitely purchased duplicates before! Luckily I have lots of crafty family members and those extra stamps make for great Christmas gifts 😉 I should have showed how I get the stamps onto my computer, my apologies. When I am on my CTMH website I type in the stamp set I need. Once it pops up there are corresponding images, click on the image and from there you can drag and drop it onto your desktop or hit download. I like to have them all on my desktop because they are easier to find once you are in Evernote. After I have the images uploaded into the Evernote app I will delete them from my computer. Let me know if that doesn't make sense.

Hi Erin thank you for sharing. I’ve been using Evernote for a while now and like Sandra I cut and pasted my images and now some of them have disappeared- thought it was just me. I also have trouble seeing the images on my ipad and then converted to my lap top - I use surface pro, and to get the free version you can only use it on one device so I don’t know if that is what has caused the glitch. Maybe it’ll be better on my iphone. My system is very similar except I keep all my stamps in a ikea draw where I fit 3 across and I store them in seasons. Apart from fonts, backgrounds, Christmas and sentiments. I also buy the stamp envelopes seperate whenever I purchase other stamps and I put 4 mini stamps in one standard envelope so they are all together. I haven’t used it for paper packs or thin cuts but I like that idea. So do u save the image on yr computer or phone first and once uploaded do u delete the original copy or leave it there? Just thinking that could use up a lot of space on my phone? X Nicola
@CraftyConceptswithErin
2 жыл бұрын
That is a bummer to hear you lost images. It sounds like you have your stamps pretty well organized. I like your idea of putting four of the minis into one larger envelope. That is clever! Sometimes I use my phone to enter stamps and other times I'm on my laptop. Either way I delete them after uploading. I just do not have room to store all the extra pics.

Love your storage Erin! I categorise my stamps in a similar method to yours - but my larger boxes have lids and it would be so much easier to grab and stamp than have to pull out the entire box each time. I may need to start using Evernote now I've seen how you use it!

Great question. I get the images from the internet. If the stamp sets are still available you can get the pictures right from my website. If you search images for any particular stamp from another company you should be able to find a picture. You can also take a photo but I prefer the computer images as they are much easier to view.

Thank you for sharing how you store and organize your stamps. Not sure if you have already answered this but approximately how many CTMH stamps fit in those Lowes bins?
@CraftyConceptswithErin

Hello Evelyn, I just went and counted one bin. I have 35 stamps in there comfortably and many of those have coordinating dies which makes them thicker. I could fit a few more in I’m sure. When you have about 30 there is room to flip through them and easily see. With 35 they are snug if that makes sense.

Hi Erin, I have started using Evernote to categorise my craft stash and stumbled across your video showing how to use Evernote. Thank you so much for the wonderful video and explaining in simple terms how to use it, properly and so easy. One question I do have is that you entered your tags underneath the photos/images of your stamps dies etc. I entered my tags underneath where it says tags+ so have I done it incorrectly? is the tag words supposed to be underneath the images and if so what is the tag+ for, would appreciate if you could advise. Thank you Gai from Australia
@CraftyConceptswithErin

Hello Gai, I am so glad the video was helpful! When I first learned I was taught to enter the tags under (or above) the photo like I did in the tutorial. I have since seen it done both ways and it seems to work well either way when searching for a stamp or image.

@CraftyConceptswithErin
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Shannon, I am glad you were inspired to try Evernote. There is a limit to the free version but you should be able to add more than 8 images per month. It isn't per image but size of image. As a free Evernote user you have 25MB of storage free each month. The size of the photos you are pulling from the web must be of a larger size. Maybe try taking a screen shot with your iPhone and see if that gives you a smaller image size. I have also heard of people signing up for a month, uploading all their goodies and then letting their subscription lapse. To answer your question, no I have not run into that message yet and I can typically sit down at once and upload a lot more notes. I hope this is helpful, happy organizing!

I use Evernote as well but some of my images have disappeared and there is a message stating it’s unavailable. I wonder if it’s because I copied and pasted the image instead of inserting. Is there a reason you don’t put your tags in the actual tag fields?

Great tips Erin! Do you have to pay for Evernote? I’ve been trying to find a free version.
