Oh thank you so much dear for your kind words 🥰 No I've never done a tutorial on that because I just use my Absorber, which is always linked in my amazon store front, to clean my stamps. You can wash them with soap but honestly I never had to do that. I just use my absorber to clean off the ink before I use them again 😁

Great tips - TFS! I particularly appreciate the information about stamping on vellum. I'll be adding Brilliance white ink to my shopping list. One question: I have some pre-owned stamps with a buildup of ink. Would the shammy clean those, or is there a liquid cleaner you'd recommend?

I love love watching your videos, you are so thorough in explaining everything!! I also love my archival inks! Question, in your newer videos you are using more scrapbook.com inks, what is the difference between those and the color theory, and why do you prefer one over the other? Thanks!! 😊
@MyLittleJournal
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Christians, I love using my archival to stamp on photos. Scrapbook .com premium dye ink is perfect for stamping on paper it always gives me a nice crisp image and the black is a nice deep black. That’s why I love their black ink. The color theory drys quickly but their black isn’t very black it’s more of a light one which is still a good black and it doesn’t bleed through. Scrapbook.coms inks do bleed a bit because they are very juicy. I like them both it just depends on what you like. Break down: Scrapbook .coms ink is vibrant but bleeds. They also numbered their ink pads. That’s great for layering Color Theory: doesn’t bleed, dries fast but you don’t have many options like scrapbook.com 😁 I hope this was helpful

Hi Heba, thanks for a helpful video! I love the look of stamping on vellum but no matter what ink I use, after some time it bleeds badly until the whole image is fuzzy. I’ve tried staz-on, archival, and versafine pigment ink with no luck. And when I look into a solution, it seems nobody else has this problem! The only thing I can think of is that I need to try a different vellum. Is bleeding something you run into and do you have any advice/tips? Thank you!
@MyLittleJournal
3 жыл бұрын
Oh I use the same method on vellum that I would use on stamping on a photo. But I do use Studio Calicos vellum. Honestly I don’t know if the vellum has something to do with it but I also do use Archival ink on vellum as well. I also recommend not using a very juicy ink pad. I find when stamping on these smooth surfaces the ink pad shouldn’t be juicy or it will smudge and bleed. I hope this is helpful ♥️

Do you ever deal with too much ink transferring to the stamp?

If you use soft squishy foam pads you will get a lot of ink transfer but I tend to like the harder ink pads. So I don’t usually get too much ink on my stamps.

Thanks so much for this video!! Can I please ask if you’ve had any experience with stamping on Tomoe River paper? I want to use stamps in my hobonichi planner but worried it will seep through as tomoe river paper is really thin.
@MyLittleJournal
3 жыл бұрын
Hi dear, I used to use a Hobonichi back in the day but I was restricted with what inks I can use. The only ink that worked on tomoe river paper was chalk ink. You will still have a bit of ghosting but not as bad as using dye inks. I hope this helps ♥️
@_t.p
3 жыл бұрын
@@MyLittleJournal Yes it does, I have read on many forums that the chalk ink seem to be the better option. I'm yet to test it myself but I love using inks moreso than stickers.. I just find inks give more of a cohesive and sophisticated look than colourful stickers :)

so you dont use any liquid to clean you stams? I have trouble cleaning my stamps after using Staz on ink. It kind of ruins them and they are not sticky any more.
@MyLittleJournal
5 жыл бұрын
Nope! I can’t bother myself with that lol 😂 but again that’s why I don’t use Stazon ink. It’s so bad for your stamps and I can’t stand the smell. I recommend you try archival if you want to stamp on smooth surface and scrapbook .coms inks are amazing for stamping on your layouts. I have both brands linked in the description box 💕
