This belongs in the "shake hands with danger" haul of fame for genuinely effective safety lectures.

I first heard this song many years ago an loved it but hdn't played ot fopr a l;ogn time. Yestrerday the first verse started playing in my head and wouldn't stop until I looked up this posting and litnened again. Oddly enough, i remembered one verse slightly wrong, only one word....but now hearing that one word correctly made the song even more poignant. That word made me cry. The word? Well I thought the lyrics was ".....far overboard I heard him call her name" was actually ".....I heard him call my name". That one word made the song so much more poignant and a lament.

I'm still dreaming of finding a Live recording of Stan with White Squall. Al Parrish came close to a great version when he performed at the Cuckoo's Nest in London, Ontario; however, I can't find a Live recording of Al's that matches that London performance and acoustics.
