Bro you have to make your joints look better than that. It looks like the car crusher got ahold of it.

If your going to be doing a standing seam f-lock system you should be putting a hem on the face and inside leg while also hooking the drips of the overlap as well. Also where is your standing seam clip?

Should snip back the short sides corner so when you bend the corners inwards the isn't a prominent buldge there, then grab 2 pieces of lumber, wrap it in foam and use it as a pincher, then hammer away on one side to lay the metal more flat. Will look a lot better and won't be any need for caulking on the corner.

I’ve never done coping like this but damn that’s a lot more then some cap metal and some rivets for corners jeez

Wrong, wrong, wrong. No clip Hems aren’t interlocked Large tab should be cut at 45 degree on each end and small tab folded over to block into place Diamond metal tab at inside and outside face to draw water away from the surface corners I like the caulking underneath the corners though - I’ll steal that.😉

Did you screw through both pieces of metal at the overlapped piece on the back? I believe that is bad for expansion and contraction of the metal. It’s good to lap but not good to fasten to pieces of metal together

How else are you supposed to keep the overlap held tight? Without that the caulking/seam won't be tight and it will allow water in overtime, even if there's caulking there it will end up expanding to a point because there's no pressure and have voids in it. I've never had a problem with my metal work and expansion.

@@nirkytime85 should only have one every 5ft or so. Especially if it's a longer screw and being screwed directly into a 2x4/6 top plate
