Also don't replace battery with the same, upgrade to a lithium pack, lasts 4 times as long and they lie about the cranking amps it's 300 at best. That lithium will take care of that. You can start a v8 with a 12 volt lithium drill battery...just so everybody knows.😮

Running the air compressor vibrates the nuts loose, it will also break the solder loose from the mother board, a little solder fixes that.

Maybe I missed it but did you get it to take a charge after tightening the terminals? I've got a DeWalt that will only charge to 8.2 when connected to 120;vac and 9.2 when I plugged in a 12vdc 109mah adapter. I'll prob crack it open and run my battery reconditioner on it.

It's been a year ago since I did this, and yes, it took a charge after tightening the terminal nuts, but over the last year performance has definitely decreased. To be expected I guess; I may try to replace the battery.

@@dadof5arrows before doing that I'd suggest buying a battery charger with a recondition mode. I got an older black and Decker from a friend. I say older but it has digital LED and settings for different types of batteries lead acid,wet dry cell etc. It has a recondition setting and I've been very impressed with the results. I had marine batteries that were left in the boat for nearly a decade and hadn't been charged the entire time. I put the charger on them and after days made little progress. I grabbed an old charger(not a smart charger) and gave them some juice for a couple of days then connected a good battery to the old one to fool the charger into thinking the old battery had enough juice to turn the reconditioning charger on. Note: most smart chargers won't even acknowledge a battery is connected if it's lower than 10.2 volts. After running the charger in recondition mode for over a week it switched to auto charge. After a few tries it fully charged as well as the twin battery. Both of which are in the boat now. Another one a friend gave me sat in the closet for nearly two years. He pulled it as he said it was bad as it would randomly require jump starting. I dug it out and ran it on recon then charge. It took a full charge and has held it for over a year. I've used it to jump off other rides and my mower. I run my amp blue tooth speaker and charge my phones off of it in the garage and haven't charged it in at least 6 months. Maybe you'll have good luck with one. Id check for vector brand. Not sure if they make a reconditioning charger or not but their chargers and everything of theirs I've tried have been excellent

@@dadof5arrows you'll want to make sure the charger reconditioner will work with your type of battery. The one I have is pretty old but it has the battery type options. It still resets to AGM after it cycles no matter what setting you had it on when you started. I have had very good luck with bringing batteries back from the dead with it. My problem is when I try to inflate a tire that is flat, it has a long beep and acts like the tire is already at the proper inflation. What do you think?
@dadof5arrows
4 ай бұрын
Hmmm...sounds like the compressor hose is not screwed ALL THE WAY DOWN on the valve stem of the tire you are inflating. It's kind of a pain, but it must be screwed all the way on or it won't push the valve in, and the compressor will immediately think the tire is at pressure.

Super Duper video, now... if you can help me answer a question. Mine works perfectly, but, but, but... When I stand it up vertically so the AC plug is facing the ceiling... the unit automatically comes ON. When I lay it down on it's back... the unit turns OFF. It's as though there is a mercury switch in the case, stand it up vertically, it comes on. Lay it down on it's back, it turns off. EVERY TIME! This just started doing this two weeks ago. The battery is fully charged, all lights seem to work. WEIRD! kzitem.info/news/bejne/rWiF1IJ_nX5_hKQ

I like the equipment, when other smaller field chargers failed, this one charged my Hummer H2 battery back from the grave. I am going to tear into the case Friday and see what is wrong. It acts just like there is a MERCURY SWITCH turning it on and off when tilted. Yes! Coming on by itself is a fear indeed! @@dadof5arrows

Well, I say in the first minute of the video that the performance was declining--wouldn't take or hold a charge well. It seems the loose nuts were reducing the amount of electrical current that was able to be transferred to the battery--so tightening them resolved that.
