I can't even imagine having a 6'4, dark haired, blue eyed boyfriend that played the piano, had so many other talents, a bit dorky, AND was freaking "Superman"...*faints* RIP Christopher Reeve

I know me too. My mouth hung open. Marlon also saying dont do stunts , I know he was talking about acting but still . On an interview with dick caveat in 81 he talks at length about playing a guy with no legs & talks about the disabled. Just too ironic .

Reeves embodied the Superman/Clark Kent character . His mannerisms. Salkind saw it in him. As did everyone at the audition for Superman I'm sure. Couldn't have done better. Helped by having an Ivy League education. Being from that background. VS some handsome actor from a "less privileged and educated background". it DHOWS. He was also very humble e.g. about his piano playing ability. A trait hard to find today in any one. Usually people are over confident or too shy. He and his wife were truly big losses. So many boys grew up wanting to "be Superman/Reeves". Then to laster see him in a wheelchair paralyzed with a breathing tube. Ironic. For that to happen to "Superman". I think he played the role so well people saw him "as Superman" in real life. The tears in the eyes of many in the audience of an Oscar Awards not too much later after his fall. Fighting back the tears. He was so loved by many. He was "refreshing" to see and have in the industry...where it's every one's job to be fake. And many letting fame get to their heads. Being a "movie star"...Reeves never appeared "Hollywood". The man could have been a professional model. Didn't need any makeup. Or prosthetics to make his nose bigger or straighter. He had the looks the French host noticed...he should have had tons of women but didn't. He didn't appear to be about that. Nor was he a "player". Could have been. He was Clark Kent when not playing Superman.

12:21 pm 2 July 2024 I note how rapidly he spoke in this interview & how rapidly he must be thinking after the pivotal medical event 27 May 1995. A respirator and a wheel chair could not get in the way of his thinking

Ironic how he speaks of Marlon Brando ridding a wild bronco and falling on his head 😞 and how he said " a bucking bronco ? Bring it on !"

Not sure what happened years later.. The opinion clearly differed.. But the story he tells about Marlon and the Horse is scary Irony considering Chris's accident.

Actually he was said to be much busier *after* the accident than before (!): with continuing activism; interacting with cutting-edge neurological research scientists; crisscrossing the US giving many talks and gathering info; acting; directing; writing a couple of books, and being husband, and involved dad to his 3 kids.
