But thats because i remember clearly that i would watch the episodes with my father. This intro didnt meant much to me back then. But now i can clearly see what we a species already achieved, and what we can achieve if we just could pt our differences to the side.... We are all human. nomatter our country and thats where our strength will lie in cosmic exploration.. as every country has very, very bright minds who will contribute to that fate.
@RHTeebs

I don't understand why people bash this intro. In my opinion, it is one of the best. If you listen to the lyrics, and watch what is on the screen, it speaks volumes. "It's been a long road getting from there to here." Talking about how long the journey has been to get from exploring the 7 seas on old sailing boats, to the first airplane, breaking the sound barrier, building roads across the world, exploring under the ocean, sending the first spacecraft out into orbit, and onto the moon, and breaking the light barrier. It speaks to how much exploration we have done, and how there's so much more to do. But finally, after so much waiting, and all the exploring we have done, we can now reach for the stars. We can now have ships that go faster than light. We can explore some more. Discover more. "It's been a long time, but my time is finally near." After so much waiting, we can really see what's out there.

The reason I like this intro is because it connects our present and what we already know to the positive future that Star Trek originally envisioned. Next Generation kinda shat on us, with the lore of the Atomic Horror and pretty much made our near future out to be useless and only because of the vulcans that we were saved. Enterprise shows a future where with our own efforts, we paved our own future and developed our own progress, and showed that the vulcans actually held us back. It's a lesson in progress, you can't hold your future in the hands of others, you need to build it yourself. And to me, this is what Enterprise represents. Star Trek acknowledges that us as humans are imperfect, and especially so with this series being set in our next century. But it is our drive to progress that makes us advance and evolve. Star Trek was supposed to be about the human heart of exploration, not a self defeating attitude of "humans are all assholes, we're always gonna fail unless another race steps in". No, the Vulcans in this Star Trek universe only warned us of the other races, it was still our own doing that lauched us into space and explored the rest of the universe, to boldly go where no one has gone before

Well, ST:Enterprise was before Federation formed, the named Enterprise got recognition, exploration was their main mission and to better themselves, and after humanity recovered, developed something to reach for the stars and realised that they aren't alone. The music totally fits. Try putting Archer's voice in saying the famous quote and the Enterprise/ Star Trek theme, it does feel out of place, while this feels in place.

I've gotta say, the show had stumblings, but I really appreciated it for wanting to show mankind's first, sometimes clumsy steps into the galaxy. I've joked before that the show basically shows that mankind wound up leading the Federation because no one else wanted the job, but really this intro and various moments in the show really highlight why mankind winds up bringing the Federation together: belief. Mankind believes it can be done, they are willing to step out and try it because of that belief. It kind of resonates with Spock's late character development in The Undiscovered Country, where he talks about faith, something Vulcans struggle with.

I don't care if there are alot of fans who do not like this theme. I think it is well done & fantastic. It's not an instrumental like the other Star Trek TV themes but it is inspiring & totally rocks ! ❤❤❤❤

I love the seamless jump between the OV-165 and the Phoenix that might have you believe the eugenics wars and WWIII didn’t happen
