Not familiar with Star Trek lore but these facial expressions are familiar to what's associated with warrior conduct amongst the Aztecs.

I think the acting actually helped because now that I see how the actors are doing it and then I mimic that it actually helps me speak the language a bit better. Hearing aid human do it is just not quite the same thing as looking at gowron..

0:59 Not only is Dr. Marc Okrand an expert on the Klingon language, he is also responsible for creating it in the first place. Where would we be without him?

Well, we wouldn’t have the Klingon language. Without Klingon, Star Trek would be nonexistent

I lowkey wish klingon would be easier to learn (in terms of sentence structures (to be more "normal" (subject - verb - object) and lessen the use of apostrophes (')) but well. pevang!

Actually, it was James Doohan who created it for TMP. However, Marc Okrand did develop it into a full-fledged language.

Fun fact: The videos with Gowron from the Language Lab were used for a bunch of German fundubs in which Gowron says things like "Titten gnaa" ("Tits gnaa") or "Todesschnitzel" ("Death cutlet").

You folks can thank James Doohan actor who played Scotty in TOS and Star Trek movies from ST - TMP, Wrath Of Kahn, Search For Spock, Voyage Home, The Finale Frontier and The Undiscovered Country, Generations, Some episodes in ST DS9 for creating these Klingon words spoken by the Klingon Captain in one of the Klingon Ships in Star Trek - The Motion Picture :) The actor who played that Klingon Captain in ST - TMP is the same actor, who is playing Sarek - Spock's father :) Marc Okrand mention in one videoclip on KZitem he began working with Klingon for new coming Star Trek series and movies, from ST - Search For Spock etc and Series such as Enterprise, TNG, DS9, Voyager etc :) Qapla' (Success)
