That menacing repeated c sharp minor chord with that alien intermittent chromatic mediant 7th on a long crescendo phrase really does spell the inevitability of that final D7's end. Such fantastic, awesome writing and glad this piano score also captures it. Just brilliant.

Man, this is cool. What was the name of the weird instrument Goldsmith used in the recording sessions? I know it was a unique instrument for an orchestration. Most orchestras don't have the instrument and other recordings, or live performances, sound different.

OK musicians, I have a question on bar 83 and 84. How do you play the Tie note.... So I play the last g on the 4th beat, and there is a tie to the second beat in bar 84. I don't understand, how do you play it? Do I just hold it?
@ingemusic3
3 жыл бұрын
I made this arrangement by ear, so all of the notation is simply my interpretation of what I heard from the recording. That part is actually supposed to be a slur, not a tie. I just put it there to indicate that those 3 Gs should have as little separation as possible. Sorry for not making that more clear.

This is a reasonably good piano rendition however it just doesn't sound the same without being played on the blaster-beam.
@zvonimirtosic6171

Acoustically, it is a very fine transcription, but unfortunately I can't read your score. That is because of the software used for notation; the notes, accidentals, legatos, etc. are all jumbled up, like thrown from a bag on one big pile, and in many passages there is no clue as to what accidental goes to which note. Notation software sucks.
