@Star Killer Hell YES!!! I can't wait for this to happen. Luke taking Grogu at end of The Mandalorian season 2, completely contradicts the sequels backstory, of Ben Solo supposedly being Luke's first ever student lol. And when Luke says "Talent without Training" that was a direct jab at Rey being a pure mary sue in the sequels. He can never openly admit it, not even around Hollywood town (cause he would loose his job), but you can tell Favreau really does not like the sequels lol. And Filloni knows how to play the system in Lucasfilm, he got himself some "work experience" sitting in on Rian Johnson directing scenes for TLJ, all the while Dave covertly got his "World Between Worlds" idea into the sequels. This clever little flaw will come in handy in some years to come once Kennedy is gone, because together Jon & Dave can use the WBW idea to establish the sequel trilogy as existing in a (like you said) "alternative dimension" or timeline whichever sounds better. One way it can be done is if you've ever saw the move BvS, Flash speaks to Bruce Wayne from the future through a portal-window in time, warning him that Lois is the key. Well it can be theorized that Ahsoka visits the World Between Worlds, and through one of the portals she is able to see a window showing a young woman clad in white, holding her master's lightsaber, doing battle with the evil Emperor Palpatine in another future and time. Ahsoka is so horrified by this, wanting desperately to help the woman in some way, but knowing she cannot physically pass through to intervene and help her. Ahsoka hears the woman call out through the force, to any Jedi to give her strength to defeat the evil. At this point many past Jedi throughout time all lend their voice to the young woman, and Ahsoka hears all these voices call out to the woman - "Rey", they all say, or - "you can do it Rey", and Ahsoka calls out "Rey." This theory idea backs up what Dave Filloni himself said when responding to a fan's question, on whether Ahsoka is actually dead at the time of the sequels; to-which Dave said - "who said Ahsoka is dead?" So this backs up the idea that Ahsoka's voice thats heard in TROS calling out to Rey, is not of her as a force-ghost, but of her calling out to Rey through the force, from the World Between Worlds, which can show that the sequels movies exist in their own, separate timeline. This then frees Jon & Dave to re-write and whole NEW and DIFFERENT series of events, through all their spin-off shows starting from The Mandalorian.

The voices n everything are amazing but so far the story doeeees seem very self-insert'y. Hero title super young, Meets lando for no reason, his dad is the leader of a rebel cell, he is in the rebel alliance for 2 minutes and is offered quite literally the most important assignment ever: securing the death star plans- that apparently anyone with imperial ties knows about like the captain of that yacht- AND literally just walks in the place, takes rm and gets out with the help of a low ranking officer who was his roommate. A 2 man job and one of them is a rookie who doesnt even wanna work for the rebellion. And now the iconic boba fett knows and "fears" him,8t88 comes after him and acts like a dumbahh spouting into kyles face that hes gonna kill him giving him time to prepair and the bounty hunters keep monologing WHILE keeping their guard down. And naturally theres a "super weapon" (the valley) that his father randomly stumbles on with the power to wipe out star systems effortlessly. Like, lets be fr for a sec

It's more than just the fact that Rey is hyper competent. It's that she is just a poorly written character all around. No strong personal motive or drive, she never makes any meaningful mistakes, never gets embarrassed, puts the skills of multiple previously established characters to shame (sometimes right in front of them) -- including mechanical knowhow, pulling off piloting maneuvers more elaborate than anything we see in any other work of Star Wars fiction ever written, skill with a blaster, skill with a lightsaber, and prowess in The Force -- is morally perfect with a flat personality, is more or less instantly liked or at least respected by nearly every character she encounters, and barely needs any allies to do anything for her. Kyle, while the progression of his power curve is rushed, is still a small part of a larger team. He consistently needs others to save or help him. He makes mistakes in judgement, he has moral flaws, and it still takes him almost a decade to fully come into his own as a great Jedi. Also, regarding his ability to take down the Dark Jedi, it should be taken into account that the Dark Jedi haven't really practiced against worthy opponents in years; they've gotten sloppy and overconfident after spending so long just slaughtering opponents who can't even use The Force.
