Vader is such a queen. The game concept (capture animations) is based on Battlechess, which Interplay made back in the day, because Fargo was inspired watching Chewie play that video game/chess thing in Star Wars. They showed Battlechess to Lucas and that's how this thing happened.

I'm surprised how many I actually played, let alone known. I would say it's about third played, third known and third (including the secret last game) I have never seen.

Man, I still remember how frustrating Force Commander was but I'm glad the RTS itch was stratched later by Galactic Battlegrounds. I know that was an AoE clone, but I spent waaaay too many hours in it, like with SW Chess earlier. Gungan Frontier is a title I haven't heard since forever but I'm glad you made the Spore connection because to me that was the "pre-Spore". Aye, I would still probably like Spore a lot even today. Yoda Stories is an absolute classic, I reinstalled it some months ago and got me hooked again, as simplistic as it is. I'm glad you didn't dwelve into action ones like TPM. Force Unleashed still holds up nicely but the film adaptations or whatever those are gave me a headache over the camera position. They're available on the PS Store still, but I can't with that fixed camera. And I really tried.

Cool video. You could do the same for old Star Trek games. There's millions of them that most people never heard of. Someone was milking an IP !

That is an... AWESOME idea! I plan on doing a deep dive into a particular Star Trek game, but this would be a great way to test the idea 😎

To be fair, this experience has made me think about getting a second-hand joystick 🕹 next time I find one. There's way more MUCH better flight sim games in the Star Wars universe that might be worth a check sooner or later 😉

There was, in fact the Indiana Jones one precedes Yoda Stories. I talk about it towards the end of my Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis video kzitem.info/news/bejne/xmygk4KlgJ1nfYY 😁
