Meanwhile in my high school choir of about 30 people I was able to overpower everyone & the piano all by myself...this is what being naturally loud, classically trained in Opera, and being a soprano -1 (aka your voice only goes high & higher, there is no going lower for you) looks like 😂

I don’t know if this is the same person but a couple of years ago I saw a Florida orchestra performance in person and the first violinist was definitely the most enjoyable person to watch. I’m honestly impressed that he was able to stay in his chair.

from personal experience I found the best way to develop the massive loud sound was to actually start by developing the control to play really really quiet, then once you get good at that move to really loud.

I think Toscanini would have laughed about it. However, if those guys messed up after that stunt he would've ripped them a new one. So those guys better have their pieces prepared to perfection before they attempt something like this in front of someone like Toscanini.

@@dreamer_4937 Karajan and Toscanini would've kicked them out of the rehearsal, and had them fired. They were no nonsense conductors focused entirely on the purity of the music anything that would've distracted from their vision of whatever piece (in this case, this one) would be seen as utterly disrespectful not only to their fellow musicians and to themselves, but to the composer as well. Nothing mattered more to them then the music, not egos not 'pranks' - nothing. And nothing would get in their way of getting what they wanted out of the orchestra. In all likelihood hood they'd both have walked out of the room as well for the sheer disrespect being shown. Nowadays, this kind of thing is played off as fun etc, but not in their eras.

Dance of the knights was supposed to be vaders theme until Williams couldn’t use it because of legal reasons so he made a song inspired by it.

My band instructor is in love with Star Wars, so one day during practice we switched out clarinet/saxophone/trumpets melody with the Star Wars melody. he sat down on the floor and began laughing we didn’t stop playing then someone threw up.

I love how everyone is in the grove and when the brass section goes off it messes up everyone's rhythm not to the point where they miss their notes but their body rhythm changed when the trombones went off the sound...it shows me how complete an orchestra is...like pistons in an engine block all cranking together to produce the sounds we hear.....I don't play any instruments but my father was a Bassist....I never got his hands as far as playing instruments...but the way I hear and feel music is different....this prank has been done alot but each time it really shows something different about each section of the orchestra to me
