This video should have more views! Just speaks volumes for how underrated this trilogy is. Loved it!

Definitely getting this one. Alexander Freed is one of the last few remaining bright spots in "Star Wars"...plus I want to have the complete "Alphabet Squadron" trilogy and read it all at once...

I read the first book about a month ago and now I’m reading the second one super fast! I’m halfway through shadow fall and man... it just feels like an ORIGINAL Star Wars story or in other words, what Star Wars is destined to be.

The Alphabet squadron trilogy felt like a giant apology letter for the Aftermath trilogy.

Ha...I knew it! I knew ahead of time (see my previous, prophetic comment) that this book was going to be awesome! Alexander Freed is just an excellent writer and an all around great storyteller. I would like to say, “more please”...but I doubt anybody is listening at this point over at Lucasfilm. I’m looking forward to his next novels and I just hope, hope, that they will include future “Star Wars” works... PS I read a lot of the samples chapters available on line from the first book in the trilogy, and I have to say, I did not find them boring, or hard to read through etc. To me they read as the same type of quality writing I’ve come to expect from Freed. Bedsides look at it this way, the first book was the set-up for the rest of the trilogy. It would have been worse if he started out strong only to muddle it all up in the middle and ending parts...

Went from not liking the first book to loving the last two. Digging the character development there lol Great review, man. Still need to read this trilogy. I have the first book on my kindle a long time ago, but I haven’t given it a shot. Probably might after I’m done with what I’m reading now.

Excellent review man! As suspected it feels a lot like the old school X-Wing series. I def need to jump into this trilogy.

She’s in the book a lot! And a few mentions of her son, but nothing elaborate.

Gotta admit Matthew the first wasnt my favorite either. Shadowfall left me with mixed feeling but I guess it took me longer to read (given work) but when I finally had the time to finish the last half it had me hooked and reestablished my faith in this trilogy and I trust the 3rd will leave me excited especially since we all know Jakku is that final stand battle. I trust you in your reviews and will be on the lookout for it on bookshelves. Thank you for another good review sir!

How many chapters a day do you read Star Wars books? I'm in my final semester of college and i'm still reading books from Star Wars on free time but i don't know how many chapters a day people usually read.

My time is limited, the only time I get to read is in the evenings. I would stay up late on weekends to read. On the average, I could get through maybe 2 or 3 chapters in each reading session. I’m a slow reader.

The first one had a comic tie in, the second one had a game tie in I wonder what the gimmick will come with this one

Ha! It was announced that this book is the last Star Wars canon book to be printing in mass market paperback. All other future books will be the larger trade paperback size.
