I just bought one (your guys’ review was amazing, thorough, and concise!) and am so excited for it to come in. 12.6x30 since I’m a bit heavier and paddling in consistent chop on the ocean.

Thanks for great review. Torn between the 28 & 30! 85kg, 187cm, will use mainly for fitness but want to be comfortable in small waves. It it more stable than the 28 in a Starboard Allwave race board for example or similar? Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to watch our review. Compared to an Allstar it depends on the model year. If the most recent 14 x 28 Allstar then its dugout configuration would make it slightly more stable than the flat decked Generation, so maybe shoot for the 30 wide Generation if you are looking for more. The 30 wide is still very useable and lots of fun.

Just got one. Coming from a Red Sport 11. It really is a great bang for buck. Love the narrow tail way more than I thought I would! Only compromise for me is the nose. It’s not the most efficient on flat water, but it’s still faster than your average all around board. The upside is it rides over chop like sn off road vehicle.

We could'nt agree more Jason. At the end of the day every board is a compromise in some way; and while the nose rocker on the Generation does pay dividends in flat water conditions, it really comes into its own in a bit of chop or when downwinding. Enjoy it :)
