Ditto...for both price and flavor reasons as well as supporting independent businesses. But now...I think it is also safe to say the proprieters of my local coffee stand do not have gargantuan carbon footprints. Niccol's private jet commute is outrageous. Who the hell at Starbucks thought that would "fly under the radar?"

Today, a prominent Indian executive is being ousted as Starbucks CEO. Reflecting on past interviews, it's hard not to notice the clichéd tone that often characterizes Indian executives in top global companies, including Google. The notable exception to this trend is the CEO of Microsoft.

I strongly disagree. Indra Nooyi (Pepsi), Ajay Banga (Mastercard), Shantanu Narayen (Adobe), Leena Nair (Chanel), George Kurian (NetApp), Nikesh Arora (Palo Alto Networks), and Raj Subramaniam (FedEx) are exceptional CEOs of Indian origin, with remarkable accomplishments. Their leadership and charisma are undeniable.

starbucks needs to reinforce their consumer positioning, 'being home' message or creating this nostalgic feeling for their customers, offer healthier products, and stay away from world's politics!! get out of the boycott image. That's it, resolved. They will end up gaining the market again but never as before given they lost most of the middle east. The shift to focus on other global markets. Oh and pricing must change, inflation is not helping people affording expensive coffee. you already lost most of the upper middle class cause they instantly downgraded due to inflation
