Robert DeNiro was originally up for the role of Captain Jack Sparrow but he turned it down not expecting Pirates of the Caribbean to go anywhere, and Johnny Depp got the role. Michelle Pfeiffer was 49 when she made this; she didn’t need the heart of a star to remain beautiful forever. The unseen narrator is Ian McKellan (Gandalf from “The Lord of the Rings”) At the end, when the ghosts of the seven brothers dissolve, six turn into white sparks and shoot up, while the last one turns red and goes down - guess which that one was. As others have commented here, Tristan is Charlie Cox, who’s most well-known for playing Daredevil in the Marvel TV series. He also had a one-off role in “Downton Abbey,” and he was in a movie called “The Stone of Destiny” based on the true story of some modern Scotsmen who broke into Westminster Abbey and stole back the Stone of Scone.

Something tells me it is Sept the last brother. Cause Una aka Uno or One was the only girl and child for years and the oldest as well(however since she was a girl, she couldn't legally pass on her name but marry someone else) she has to have a son to continue he blood and keep herself from falling prey like what happened to her own brothers
@greencello599

Septimus(played by Mark Strong) was the red light that went down while his brothers went up. Like in a lot of succession in monarchy, Septimus had no chance of becoming king unless all of the older brothers were dead. That's why he killed most of them. Adding in the ruby, he couldn't officially become king unless he had it. If he knew Tristan was Una's son, he would've killed him on the spot. Charle Cox has a lot of range, mostly series. He returns as Daredevil in the near future alongside his costars from the Netflix series. He actually met his wife while filming Daredevil. They have at least one daughter and primarily live in Connecticut. His wife was part of the production staff.

This movie was the current generation's Princess Bride IMHO. Fencing, fighting, chases, escapes, witches....true love. Perfect movie.

I love this movie to pieces. Fun fact: If you look at the princes' outfits, they have their number on it. Septimus has 7 on his buttons, Secondous has a roman numeral 2 embrodiered on his coat for examples.

Did you notice that "Billy" (the goat turned into an innkeeper) later portrays Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter series.

This is one of my favourite movies, adapted from one of my favourite books! I wish I’d caught the premiere. 😍😍 one of the few adaptations to stay close to the source material. I have a list of movies I put on when I need a mood boost and this is one of them. I’m so glad you loved it!

This whole movie is just a who's who of British celebrities, like I can name almost everyone here from them being in movies and tv shows from my childhood. The movie itself is just so sweet and silly it's a true joy to watch. P.S. Take that were an obsession of mine as a teen and the credit song always makes me want to listen to them again.

I love this movie. The story by Gaiman. The cast - not just Cox, Danes (radiant), Pfeiffer, DeNiro, etc. but Mark Strong as Septimus, Jason Flemyng as Primus, Sienna Miller as Victoria, & so many other great Brits in smaller roles. The mix of magic, adventure, comedy… Even the song in the end credits, Rule the World, was a huge hit for Take That. And nobody loves a montage like Cassie. (“Mon-tage! Mon-tage!” 23:27)

I am so glad you enjoyed this. Stardust is one of the many movies I feel didn't get the big box office success that it deserved but which has hung around and endured because its just so charming.

I have such nostalgia for this film. I was in film school when this came out & the VFX director gave a great lecture breaking down various scenes. The score is also brilliant & the credit song by Take That was/is a big song in the UK & you heard it everywhere.

I absolutely LOVE the ending of this movie. One of the best I've ever seen... The way they get the star back to her home in the end, and Tristan gets to join her as another star thanks to the Babylon candle he got at his coronation!?! It's just too perfect of an ending. Especially after he told Victoria to eat shit... 🤣🤣🤣

14:50: The film was shot in various locations in England and Scotland. The village of Wall scenes were shot in Castle Coombe in Wiltshire and the street of Elm Hill in Norwich was used for the streets of Stormhold.
