This is why villains like Todd and Baal are the best. Sure their are probably more powerful villains, but guys like Todd win through cunning and pragmatism, as is often evident by his ability to convince the heroes to go along with his plans and help him out.

Todd isn't a villain at all. In the comics taking place after Atlantis, he allies with humans pretty much permanently and together defeat a OP queen. He also pretty much abandons his distrust of humans after this and vice versa. Zelenka also befriends Ember, a Wraith scientist who had some screen time in Atlantis after saving his life and a trusted crew member of Todd's. AFTER that, Ember is then invited and trusted to go around Atlantis to help them kill off a nasty virus. And even before the comics, he was never really hostile to humans, except that one case where he took over their ship after he thought the humans betrayed him and even after that, he didn't kill anyone, which is like, pretty insane for a pissed off Wraith, not to kill humans.

the actor deserves so much credit considering he appeared 3 times in the franchise as different characters, and each time, he was so charismatic. Christopher Heyerdahl was the original Stargate Daddy.

You know, thinking about it, Todd has lost a lot of crew members. He lost the one ship over Atlantis, he lost his whole crew on this ship, and then he loses another crew to a body altering drug meant to give them the ability to eat regular food… freeing him was actually detrimental to the wraths long term survival. For being thousands of years old, the couple of years of the Atlantis expedition were probably some of the most eventful of the guys life

I guess ZPM spells betrayal among the Wraith...Todd had little luck with those things.

Makes sense. In 10,000 years the Wraith haven't advanced technologically, suggesting they were completely unable to understand Ancient tech. Working ZPMs would therefore be just as valuable to them as to the Expedition. More so even as the Expedition has access to and can replicate Asgard tech.

It was a self-own. Cloning an immortal race is a population control disaster. You have to feed that army _forever._ They probably didn't come up with the concept of hibernation until they won the war-- it was a solution they had to enact in the aftermath.
@sargon6000

@@BogeyTheBear That's a good point. Also, the Wraith have been shown to have poor self-control when it comes to feeding ("never-ending hunger" and all), now imagine hundreds of millions of them wanting to keep feeding, but there's not enough food for everyone.

Sadly, they still could have won.... they didnt know what we , the audience, knows. Hives have limited numbers, and their the ONLY THREAT to the acients with 2 of them able to destroy an aurora. And them Aurora's dont grow on tree's. Hives also have that problem btw. Atlantis COULD potentialy have destroyed the entire rest of the wraith main armada in that siege and thus ended them then and there with the sacrifice of atlantis in the process.

3:00 ok we will leave the area and scout ahead with no idea where we are actually meant to be going so todd can give an expo dump for the audience. Then backtrack and claim the area ahead is now clear but by coming back you no longer know for sure that its clear and the wraith still could of come from behind.

@@SlaaneshM30 I don't know, but it is possible that they could do both at once. I highly doubt that the Wraith have been sitting on their hands and doing nothing when they know that jumping galaxies is possible and that success would mean no more starvation. That's not even accounting for any Wraith that may not need to feed anymore; if they exist they could be fleeing the original type of Wraith. If they don't get welcomed in the Milky Way they could end up attacking instead depending on how badly it goes... Or they could be attacked by another, triggering a war. Well, anyway, maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised by the coming series.

@@SlaaneshM30 I read that they were going to try to get actors from both shows. Possibly all 3, though I don't remember if they said anything about SGU. I don't know if they would be reprising their roles, or made into new versions of the characters, but I know Amanda Tapping (Carter) was very interested in coming back, but more of a leader type role, possibly even the new head of the SGC. I think McKay and Sheppard's actors also expressed interest in returning. Its been such a long time since I read anything about it, and I'm not even sure if that was the plan before or after Amazon bought the rights.
