The set designer for both series did an excellent job, everything is very professional and homey looking😊

thats the brilliance, of this scene, he's actually doing a good job and made remarks similar to Weir and Carter. But the setup and the rebuttals with uneasy looks colored his commentary.

Woosley is jerk in the beginning but gradually becomes a likable character when he finally realize you can’t go by the book in every situation. You are in another galaxy dealing with things that are not the norm so adjustments must be made.

Thing is, when he was telling Keller that its come to the point of having to either take the risk or get back to her other duties, he's not wrong. A bit insensitive, maybe. But like, he's just vocalising what she already knew but was trying to avoid.

Woolsey wasn't diplomatic, but he was eminently practical. Frankly, the Atlantis crew could use a little more of that.

To make it simple, "Please state the nature of the Michael emergency"... :P (I grew up watching TNG, DS9 & Voyager, he'll always be the EMH to me!)

I was never a Star Trek fan, but I was a StarCraft fan, so when I started reading this, all I could think of was the Medic from the Brood War expansion, and read it as the following… “Please state the nature of your Medical Emergency.”

@@commandercritic9036 That was the line the EMH (as played by Robert Picardo) would recite every time he was activated, and of course inspired plenty of people to write the line either whole or in part into other things as an in-joke, referencing Star Trek Voyager's emergency medical hologram, there's even a loose reference in SG1 where Woolsey is teleported into the room surprising Jack & General akin to how the EMH would appear in an unexpected manner surprising other characters when activated... :)

I do get why Woolsey was against searching for Michael. We forget, but … a galaxy is big. You could search, sure, but your chances of actually finding Michael without a credible lead are laughable.

He wasn't against taking him out either. If they knew exactly where he was then he would have been all for sending people after him.

Didn't like woolsey at the beginning but I do agree with what he said about Michael, yes he may still be alive but he could be anywhere in the entire galaxy so until they have a clue about where he might be there's not much they can do, it'd be like looking for a needle in a haystack

He's atypical because he's actually willing to adjust and make accommodations for the quirks of working with others rather than the powermad despots who gravitate to those jobs.
