Both characters have a delusion where they think they are living a normal life, and in that normal life they have a delusion where they think they are science fiction characters and it cycles back and forth. Both see someone who is not there. More people are pushing the dislike button than the like button, but maybe they aren't seeing the similarities.
Star Trek DS9: Sisko, the captain of a space station starts having delusions where he thinks he's a science fiction writer for a magazine in the 1950s on Earth, and in that delusion he starts having a delusion where he thinks he's the captain of a space station.
Stargate SG-1: Teal'c a member of SG-1 who travels through a wormhole to other planets from a secret underground military base starts going unconscious and having dreams or delusions where he thinks he's a firefighter living a normal life, and when he is in that delusion he also has delusions the other way around. Both episodes were released in season 6 of both shows and in the same month but different years.
Stargate SG-1 6x19 "The Changeling" (2/5/03) copied Star Trek DS9 6x13 "Far Beyond the Stars" (2/11/98).
Why does Amazon Prime use the 4:3 syndicated version of SG-1 after they purchased MGM when before they already had it in the 16:9 "Final Cut"? The 16:9 version still has a separate listing on Prime but it says its not available.
