Wish the property I bought had no grass. How annoying it is to kill fertile grass to dump compost on. I'm trying to do a small food forest around my house.

There's a guy in the UK that was showing obstruction time with his dishy mounted to the chimney above the house and surrounding trees. Thought it might be a bird (pigeon) sitting on it. Turns out he was able to correlate the obstruction outage times to starlink satellite trains passing between his antenna and the satellite providing it service. kzitem.info/news/bejne/zI-izIF8pF-Ghn4

You laugh about drip loops, but I ran a coaxial cable through my wall for my tv dish and didn’t even think about water running down it and through the hole into my house. Came home one day and smelled a mildew smell. My living room area was completely soaked with water.

Lol, drip loop. You could always tie a piece of string to the cable and the large quantity of water that you're getting will follow the string to the ground 😁

Yes, string or small copper wire. Yep. Saved me too. Water likes that string path.

I have wired cable internet and my isp sucks they have not made upgrades in over a decade the fastest speeds they offer are only 100mbps down and 5mbps up and is the only provider option besides Starlink so im switching as soon as I get my dish at least starlink will make gigabyte upgrades in the future and already has faster speeds than my current provider at the same monthly price I will mount my starlink dish on an old existing directv satellite pole

Thank you for this information on Starlink. I am collecting all info I can. FYI: NOVA SCOTIA. My download speed with Bell is 1.67, upload speed is 0.36, $130.00 per mth.:( Pretty sad.

Your bill in $9 cheaper than my BC bill. Still PST free out there, I'm impressed. Peak speed for me was 345 through an old cat5 cable, Xplorenet will be dead soon

Define high speed? I have spectrum cable and I just ran the numbers, 47/11mbs. Based on OPs table I can triple my download speed switching. Which I do plan to do as I have already placed the preorder.

@@jaredfromsubway6755 Excuse me!? Have you filled out the form to request service? Has Starlink replied? Did they say if service was available? If its not, complain to Starlink. This is not a 'only X number of seats available' scenario. Pay you money, wait your turn just like I am and otherwise bugger off.

@@jaredfromsubway6755 I have been on the list just as long. Elon also promised self driving cars and be on Mars by 2022. If you don't like the deployment choices Starlink has made go complain to Elon. The fact I might get the service before you in no way diminishes your opportunity or timeline when you will get served. Grow up.

@@johnmcginnis5201 you grow up you’re taking away from people who actually need it. Idk if you know this or not but nobody could go to school and schools enforced zoom calls and your internet can handle that just fine. People like mine and thousands of others can’t. It’s selfishness
