Today's video is about getting Ensete ventricosum 'Maurelii' red Abyssinian banana plants ready to grow in spring following their winter dry storage indoors (they generally wouldn’t survive a long, cold & wet U.K. winter outdoors). I talk about tidying them up, potting them into small containers and a few spring care tips to coax them into growth followed by my hardening off process. These are one of my favourite tropical style foliage plants for UK jungle & exotic gardens, amazing impact for summer bedding displays, huge colourful leaves and very fast growing too!
