Thanks Andy for sharing your steaming technique with us. I have several old staffs that have warped over the years. Gonna try using my steamer to straighten them out. Would you mind elaborating on your straightening jig a little. We saw you use it. But I’m still a little confused on how you put it together, or how I could improvise something that would work without marring up my staffs. Thanks! -Chris from Arizona. USA

Hi, It's a old car ramp inverted with a jack inside to use as a mechanical force multiplier. Wheel rollers on the side for smaller gauge sticks and bar spacings for bigger pieces. I will probably don't video about this set soon.Thanks for watching. Andy.

Hi Andy, how long has the wood seasoned. I harvested in the winter and am eager to get going. Thanks for your videos.

H, my sticks usually seasoned for 12 months .Bigger bit may need a further 6 months. The quickest I have seasoned a stick is 9 months and that was with the help of a heated environment which can cause cracking irritatingly if not controlled. Thanks for watching,Andy.

Hi Andy, how long do you need to leave shanks in the steamer ?
@hiddenvalleyfootpaths2561

Hi , hi, smaller gauge sticks 15mins maybe 20mins for bigger pieces. Obviously if the chamber is fully loaded add aa bit longer cause the steam has more wood to cook to temperature. Thanks for watching. Andy.

Hi, It's a drainage pipe. Obviously not designed for this purpose and it is dangerous. I am aware of issues surrounding this set up and use accordingly. I think on you tube there are more professional setups demonstrated. It works for me though.Thanks for watching. Andy.
