These were all so interesting but I really loved #7. It reminded me of a cozy forest scene.

I loved this so very much. You could also, to get more and different colour choice, roll one of the dice twice, or roll one die 3 times and see what you get. If you get a duplicate roll again untl you get a different colour. I also think that stamping and mark making with the grey would be a nice idea instead of brayering it on. I have all kinds of ideas I might share when I have time to think about them. This gave me a lot of ideas. Great video!

All great ideas....yes the dice can be used in a multiple of ways...You can brayer or stamp with any color OR make any rules you want. I like the idea of using gray/brown to stamp before brayering on color ....I wonder what that would look like. K

I do like having the option of just rolling the dice and following what's been set ....as you say...you don''t have to think...and most times you end up with a surprise. K

@@KarenBurchill 🥰I hope to find these big dices somewhere here in France because I think this technique will enable me to use colors I've never used together before ..... 😏

Thank you for a great video, Karen! Although I did splurge last year and bought Sarah Renae Clark’s Color Boxes I love the idea of using the dice. I ended up really liking the papers I didn’t think I would like once they dried. The yellow & brown combo made me laugh as I remember using those colors out of my Crayola box as a kid. One of my greatest joys is sitting in my art room and making background papers for my cards…it’s so freeing. P.S. You must have an awesome Dollar Store near you because I’m not finding items to use as stamps like you do. Maybe I’m not looking hard enough.

Thank you. It's all about experimentation.....learning by doing. As for the Dollar store finds....look carefully in kitchen section. Lots of sink liners, silicon trivets, shelf liners, bottoms on containers etc....Check out walmart etc. although more than dollar store...some inexpensive mark makers to be found...especially if you get together with a art friend and each buy a different one that you can cut and share. This has been fun, Karen! When you started #9 I wasn't very taken with it, but by the end it's definitely my favourite. Thanks for the inspiration.

I rarely use thicker paper as I like the thinner collage papers for my projects. K
