Pakistan's goal has always been to try and somehow bring back the Mughal Empire [ where Hindus pay Jiziya ( extra Tax ) ], or if not that, then at least somehow suppress and subvert Hindu culture and show Sunni muzlims as superior to all other in the Indian Subcontinent. And that Desire of Sunni Muzlim superiority has narrowed down further to Desire for Sunni Punjaabi Superiority. And now that they see the Gap is so vast and their desires and goals have failed, they have other games that they are currently experimenting. Shehzad the owner of this YT Channel is one of those several games that they are experimenting. of course, they will not work, but a Pig's habit is to get himself dirtied in the muddy water which will never change. They don't understand the meaning of peaceful and harmonious co-existence. Pak army are declared itself as the defenders of physical as well as the ideological boundaries of Pakistan. Which is kind of true. If Pak army didn't behave like this and people really start questioning the differences and why the events have happened the way they have happened, people will eventually deny the need for partition. So for Pakistan to exist the Pak army has to keep itself in power.

Sorry buddy there is a problem with your overview of history.. you believe that Muslim rulers were secular.. they were always agnostic towards the native population.. mostly the north temples are destroyed.. The Muslim public may not have a clear disdain for the non Muslim community but they never stood up against the atrocities committed by the leadership.. just like Pakistan today.. muslim rulers and scholars have burnt libraries of ancient knowledge.. Your violent mob did it again last month ago in France.. And you are hurt by just one.. When gajnavi came to destroy somnaath he could have stopped by just looting the temple . As requested by the pundits.. But he didn't wanted to be just a looter he wanted to be an idol destroyer .. Aurangzeb destroyed more than a thousand temples in his tenure And you guys consider them your hero.. So if you guys didn't respect us why do you expect respect from us.. Islamic law in quran can never be apolitical or secular.. Because quranshreef isn't secular.. It give second class treatment for non Muslim the overall attitude of islamic world.. That's hypocrisy of islamic world don't you feel

@ThePakistanExperience In terms of proportion to the hindu population of north India their temples are top less. I am from south India (Tamil Nadu), when I travelled north for the first time I was very surprised that when they vote heavily on religious lines, why are very few temples and the temples that are over 1000 years are negligible, whereas, in the south we have too many temples. Islamic rule during the medieval times in the north was not very kind to Hinduism/native faiths or or its structures. If I am not wrong temples in Pakistan may be or may look like the last residues of Hinduism in Pakistan. I think this is why OP was trying to say that the north India has no major hindu temples.

Modi's rise in India is not "extra-political". In fact it is really the rise of post-colonial politics. Unlike the impotent parties like PIT in Pakistan, BJP is the world's largest political party with it's majority of votes coming from the poor masses - who are the beneficiaries of the direct bank transfer schemes of Modi. Tu yaar bina study kiye kuchh bhi na bola kar India ke baare mein. Hearing that people like me start doubting even that which you say about Pakistan. Better for your credibility that you don't speak about things, which you have not read from all sides. Pick up the books of Sitaram Goel, RC Majumdar, Gandhi (Esp the book "Hind Swaraj"), Golwalkar Guruji, Ram Manohar Lohia, J Sai Deepak, Vikram Sampath etc - to build a view of the history of the anti-congress politics of India leading up to Modi.
@indianperspective5053

Aur bhai tu jaise logon ko bol raha hai ki bina bias ke history padho - then why are you not reading the account of Indian politics from the non-anglicized non-congress voices of India. If you want to understand India from your lens - you have to look at Post-Nehru congress as the Westernized Establishment looking down on native Hindu poor people - who finally found a lower-caste poor background mass leader in Modi.

regarding the macro vs micro debate - punishing one individual fiercely doesnt get rid of the social issue completely but it does send shock waves across the society of the dire consequences of certain actions and helps to increase the mental barrier for next criminal. Although the thrill of harsh punishments also motivates some people (especially the younger ones) to attempt the sin and get away with it. But the net impact is, in my opinion, a positive one.

Let me tell you I am a well educated guy with progressive mindset. And then I reflected back and realised how to utterly disgusting my thoughts were. I realised that it was the society at fault and at large the fault of the state that has done nothing to better the thought process of the society. It is the duty if state that a person can sleep on the footpath and his safety is ensured. Even a case of theft shouldn’t happen let alone r*p*. And every single person be it citizen or not should feel safe be it in Jungle or in open area. The issue with this is, there is something called pragmatism which is necessary to live in this world. We normally don't go near bears because they are dangerous. Similarly a country where population per police officer is really low maybe half of most western nations and judiciary that sits on cases for years which means justice isn't served swiftly, it is pragmatic to not camp in the middle of nowhere. West has this as well, evident by their r@pe rates and the show 'to catch a predator'. Understand how it can be solved, surely education and mindset matter but being pragmatic matters more as no one can or should sleep on the footpath anyway, western nations literally do not allow it, homeless people are driven out of parks etc on a regular basis there. Theft and other crimes happen in the west as well, along with stuff on the dark web. Crimes are a reality of every society as humans are flawed that's a necessary realization. There is nothing called r@pe culture here. No normal person here thinks about doing it to anybody. They do blame the victim though which is slowly changing and should. If you feel safe in a jungle you are not really in one. It is supposed to be survival of the fittest. Only humans save their 'weaks' as much as they do. A hungry apex predator will strike no matter how chill you are. This is why nuances in arguments/debates is so necessary. Pragmatism and Realism is the only way to survive.

Yes pragmatically it is difficult to do what I suggested but shouldn’t it be the debate of the hour. I already said that I had the line of thought similar to yours but then I realised how disgusting the thought is. It is the case of a misjudgment by the foreigners but what in the cases where a minor is r**** by her relatives. It was pragmatic for the nobles of India to take foreign aid but look what it lead to. A society who relies on pragmatism lives in status quo, it takes a new idea to make a state progress. And can we liken a human to a bear? A human has an ability to think beyond his line of upbringing. Can a bear or other animal do so. Should we just on the name of pragmatism not discuss the issue and should we just take it as it is and say thats how the world acts?

@@srijandatta287 and also just because it is not pragmatic should we just lay hand in hand and not aspire for better society where our society respects women, poor and questions the leader be it the one they support or are against. I too am proud of this country, and would go nowhere even if it offered me a better standard of living. And for that very reason I want my society to become modern and not western.

A quick question: the Barelvi sect was peaceful since its inception and then the state used them in the shape of TLP. Agreed. Let's condemn the state together. But once we have done that, would it be disingenuous to ask whether they bear any blame for becoming pawns of the ... ahm, (I don't want to use the 'E word')? Do individual bear no personal responsibility for their actions? Would the claim that one was manipulated and exploited by the E be sufficient to claim immunity from moral responsibility for one's actions?

Don’t I say in this video that I am not absolving the individual and they should get punished for their crimes?
@saleemnaqvi2200
4 ай бұрын
@@ThePakistanExperience You did say that, but the overall impression that was created was that the state manipulated the minds of the Barelvi sect and created TLP, and I agree with you on this; AND that changed the psyche of the people as if they were دودھ پیتے بچے who couldn't tell right from wrong and whatever wrong they do now is the responsibility of the state. I don't agree with this assertion. Also, you say that the responsibility for seemingly jaahilana acts lies more with the society that with the individual. I think the society is made up of individuals from the same area and its attitudes are a collective manifestation of the attitudes of its members, who are individuals.

it was the best thing that happened to us, had the population exchange been done completely and peacefully it would have been even better. the partition kept us away from afghanistan russia usa saga, it keeps us away from the middle east lafda, and it gave us breathing space to develop although we started it after 1991, but der aaye durust aaye. Had the partition not done, we would have a sizable islamic population and that extremist population would keep themselves and us into poverty. We are already very poor and are crawling our way up, having the extra burden of 40+cr muslims who would swipe the sword on minorities neck whenever given a chance, both the area of Pakistan and India would go down.

Good analysis...but what ur saying is middle class is not middle class. If ur professionally educated as a doctor, lawyer, media etc ...speak or understand english...got half ur family abroad and probably can move there urself ...u are not in the middle.. income wise...ur probably in the top 1-5%. Only difference vs the generals and political elite is probably ur not doing anything illegal or siphoning money abroad. But u will still want to send yr kids abroad and can send. Middle class in pak would be the servants who work in such households..they wouldnt even be your audience and would be far removed from even understanding how fettered they are . Anyone watching this show by definition cant be middle class and is probably part of the class that has screwed pakistans aawam

I have read some history and there is no scarcity of using jihad as a tool and motivation and many action to proved my point. The definition was same as isis then and by the terroist now. Your version is not even the over simplified one. Most people at the root weren't as muslim as today's also nobody was this literate that they would study quran,those who did has the same jihadi mentality, living in a hindu majority region helped in keeping things in check. The elite were however, the same as today's Muslim's elite. On hindu being in muslim army, hindus don't have this tribal mentality of being of an identity And many were cowards or traitors or good politicians. Jihadism always was in the region and was even romanticized by many leaders and in some region especially in the current region of afghanistan, Pakistan and region around Delhi. On rewriting history, please prove your point by evidence, u sound more like wishful concluding with enough evidence to support the opposite narrative.

@Shehzad bhai, it is a common fallacy that the Barelvi sect was historically a peaceful or tolerant sect (relative to other regional sects). Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi sb was famously a takfiri extremist, who a issued a fatwa against the ulama of Deoband and all their followers. I don't adhere to or identify with either sect so I consider myself a neutral commentator on this matter. What can be more intolerant and militant than declaring an entire sect as kharijul Islam, which, as you know, by their perverse interpretation, equates to irtidad, from where, as you are well aware again, they draw further dangerous logical conclusions.

For example, instead of cursing history speaking of a one sided view, perhaps incorporate both sides of history. I think biased views are like listening to a wife complaining about an "evil/demonic" mother in law. I might as well watch any 9pm soap.

Insightful. Whenever you do a monologue or invite people who are specialists on Pakistan to speak on Pakistani issues then they are winners. Other than Uzair, none of your guests have a nuanced understanding of present day India or even a nuanced understanding of PM Modi. Calling him a Hindu version of Zia is beyond simplistic. It is very disappointing when people I have followed for over 15 years like Najam Sethi, NFP, Pervez Hoodbhoy and greatly respected have made such simplistic comments about today’s India.

Bureaucracy under the British was kept exclusive from the ordinary people . That model shouldn't have been followed after independence . Even today , whenever a common person visits any government office , the staff there view them as obstacles . The office exists and the staff working there get their salary to provide the service to the people visiting the place . That is explains the desperation of many people to get a sarkari naukri , because they believe it provides income without having to do any work .
