Cassandra Griffin, Biobanking and Clinical Research Manager for NSW Regional Biospecimen Services at the University of Newcastle, outlines the value of brain donation and biobanking from the perspective of donors and their loved ones. She will describe the role that post-mortem biobanks have played in research in the past as well as the unique form of hope, empowerment and comfort that post-mortem research can afford to potential donors and their families with a terminal diagnosis.
