I used to just let the camera roll and record myself set up bottles, noodles or whatever then wipe the sword after every cut (which i do do [haha] when I cut tatami and water filled bottles, as well as clean and oil the blade when done). Then I realized I was just wasting people's time doing all that (with the exception of reviews, full sessions, demos, challenges, unboxings, etc) So I usually cut out everything but the best cut or 2 (especially so on shorts) and doing that really helped me get subs and whatnot. As well as taught me video editing skills. I just the free version of VideoGuru.
