I wish women would realize that just because you're a sahm/sahg that it doesn't mean you can't make your own money.

They try to make it seem like it’s so luxurious and it’s not, you’re doing all this labor for free and you’re not a wife, there’s no legal protection for you if he gets tired of you or you get in an argument

I’m glad you woke up. I always believed in couples doing it together. Some of what you said is true. Proud of you.

I'm just gonna throw in that divorce is one of the biggest reasons for poverty for women. Most of the women in that position earned significantly less than the man before divorce or had no income of their own.

There is nothing more important than raising your children; I am a stay at home mom, and after several years of infertility nothing makes more happy. My husband is still contributing to my Roth IRA. His paycheck is deposited in my checking account t that we both have access to, etc. I am not blind that something can happen, but that’s with any marriage. Before I sent my resignation letter, I made sure I still had all the rights he had; the money that comes to our house is our money. I think it is not all B&W, as you pictured it here. Let’s aim to prepare for at least the primitive years of our babies. Good luck with your KZitem channel! ❤

That's if someone wants kids. Other than that, there are multiple paths for women to choose outside of motherhood. I'm glad it's your desire and you seem well-watered and content.

So true! ❤ In Sweden, its a bit different, being a stay at home mum (girlfriend is worse) is embarrassing, few wants to do this. But! So many women depend on their husbands salary. For living, for retirement. Its the same trap, we just word it differently. Thank you for speaking up! ❤

Playing house is not valid. Women understanding the saying, "Why buy the cow if you get the milk for free?" is needed? And trying to compare a life where the woman is not truly loved is not the same as a relationship where she is.

See, before I got married, I saw the women that were left flat on their bums. But I didn’t see how long those effects last in keeping them down. I didn’t see that they were flat on their bums still in the relationship. I didn’t even see what it meant to be financially supporting yourself as a single woman. It’s a lot! For most people, it is possible. But it has to be more than a backup plan.
