The kitchen includes a full-size fridge, sink, microwave, and induction burners while the living room features a sofa bed, seating for four, and a TV with a full digital cable package and high speed WiFi. You'll also have a fire pit, kayaks and a cozy 200 sq ft deck that's perfect for barbecuing, fishing, or soaking up the sun while you watch life on the river float by.
Feeling adventurous? Ketch Cottage is a short trek from Fort Point Museum, artisans, distilleries, wineries, and the outstanding LaHave Bakery. Hop over the river on the cable ferry and you'll be minutes from the stunning geography of Oven’s Natural Park and the bustling charm of the Town of Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll be living right on the Lighthouse Route, the iconic South Shore roadway dotted with Nova Scotia's best sandy beaches: Risser’s (lifeguarded & family-friendly), Crescent, (a drive-on beach with sprawling sand) and Green Bay Beach (an explorer's rustic coastal paradise). Further afield are Hirtle’s Beach, a sandy surfing haven, and Gaff Point, the best hiking adventure in the area. In nearby Bridgewater you'll find the Centennial trail, an 8 km hike & bike trail through the heart of town. The LaHave itself runs 15 km from Bridgewater to the shores of the Atlantic, if you're up for a paddle.
