- Main Ingredients: Chuck flap tail (Beef) 300g, 2 cups of rice, 2 cups of water, 3 tbsp of tsuyu - sauce (replaceable with soy sauce), 4 tbsp of olive oil
-Side Ingredients (Marinade): 1 tbsp of olive oil, 1 tsp of salt, a pinch of pepper
- Side Ingredients (Topping): 1 egg yolk, 10 whole garlic cloves, 4 small green onions, a sprinkle of sesame seeds
1. Rinse the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Slice the green onions.
2. Cut the chuck flap tail into 2cm cubes and marinate with salt, black pepper, and olive oil.
3. Heat oil in a pan, add whole garlic cloves, and fry them over medium-low heat.
4. Remove the fried garlic, add the prepared chuck flap tail, and fry until crispy and golden brown.
5. In a pot, add 3-4 tablespoons of the oil used to fry garlic and the soaked rice. Stir-fry for 1 minute.
6. Add water and soy tsuyu sauce to the rice, bring to a boil over high heat for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then cover with a lid and simmer over medium-low heat for 15 minutes.
7. Sprinkle sliced green onions over the cooked rice, arrange the chuck flap tail and fried garlic on top, and cover. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
8. Garnish the finished Sotbap with additional green onions, egg yolk, sesame seeds, and drizzle with sesame oil.
