I've said that several times. Being stealth in a commercial looking vehicle is a huge target. I wonder why no one thought about that years ago, like I did? I've been a mobile dweller since 2017 and stealth never seemed safe to me. Glad you changed that. I also feel as though us fulltime, minimalist mobile dwellers need to force society to see us as respectable people, not homeless and not hiding. We're just choosing a freer alternative mobile lifestyle.

Yeah I get that it's a little counter-intuitive. You'd think a commercial appearing vehicle might not get as harassed for parking/staying certain places, but I guess what you gain in deterring unwanted attention from police/public you also gain in appealing to the criminal element looking for easy access to an unmanned tool storage van.

Sucks that his van got broken into, and trashed. Although costly, it did give him an opportunity to rethink things, and make some tweaks, and seems a lot happier with the new setup. Good work! Really like the van. Thanks for sharing! ❤️🌵☀️⛈️🌈🐕

You don't put any Windows extra in the van next to laminate all the windows on the outside and inside so they don't break easily Imports or exports on the van need to be less than 11 in diameter. I've been living in a van for 12 years and I can tell you what they go for and what they don't and they go less for the cargo doors especially when you put Center bar across it

Install 3M Security Shield on all windows. It is a clear Lexan film used on video camera trucks, because you will need to break the entire pane out of the frame with a bat or sledge to get in. Clear, or tinted.

Yeah, makes you think about it, and it actually makes sense, criminals wouldn't think that a stealth AKA "working" van has cameras or someone living inside it, they usually just want to steal things and get out fast, if they think that someone is inside there or that their crime can be recorded that means its riskier for them

I would think the most stealthy van would be wrapped with advertising - Joe’s Plumbing, Dolly’s Daisies and Tulips. The plain vans scream - stealth. The others less so. Recently saw a van dressed up like an Amazon Prime delivery truck but it was spelled Amazone Pride - it was a double take! There’s room for some creativity here.

I’m not sure if it was on this channel or not, but there was a guy who had a stealth fan and he had a variety of fake business magnetic signs that he would swap out on his van, depending on which neighborhood he was in. The signs were businesses that someone would definitely not want to break into a van, like pet grooming, textiles, stuff like that.

I kind of feel like it was someone staying in another vehicle on the street that was watching him and waiting for him to leave to break in. He should add security cameras for the outside. I watched Sarah Yak and in her van that she is selling she got Amazon cameras so she can see her van from her phone when she’s in the store or out and about (it also works inside where she doesn’t have to open her window coverings to see who’s out there). Also a loud alarm to draw attention to the van if it’s broken into. Sucks getting things stolen or damaged. But there’s so many things available on the market to help secure camper vans and RV’s. Videos like this are super helpful. 👍🏼

A good layout. The colors are lovely. Very functional and beautiful. I'm sorry about the break in. It is such a violation and induces such rage. How sad. So much damage for nothing, what punks. Glad you remodeled. It looks fabulous now, very open and airy. I was burglarized at home and when people tell me, 'Aren't you lucky you weren't home", I tell them, "No, are the thieves lucky I was not home! I would have put my baseball bat to good use on their knee caps." and I meant it. Now, my home is a fortress. God help anyone coming in. It's like a roach motel - roaches go in but don't leave except in a police van. 5:13 - these dark green propane bottles should never be refilled. They are not safe. Don't take short cuts. Use a bigger tank or refillable small bright green ones. In an RV, Murphy's Law applies. What CAN go wrong, ALWAYS WILL go wrong. You don't want an explosion. Don't reuse these. You should keep a $30 butane suitcase stove handy, and Chinese/Korean supermarkets have them. They also sell the butane canisters very cheap. Have both on hand in case you run out of one. 5:30 - If you ever have to change out your fabric wall panels consider using Marine Vinyl instead. Easy to clean, fade resistant, inexpensive, and resilient. Does not pick up dust or grease, or cooking smells the way fabric does. The lighting system, especially toe kicks and cabinets, is fantastic. So clever and useful. A++. I'd love to see how you did that. Please make a video on that. Clever security system. It will frustrate thieves😂.Very nice plumbing and electrical layout. I see you have also used wool insulation. All done right, perfect. Beautiful ceiling, beautiful kitchen cabinets and countertop. Imagine what you are saving on rent in NYC - great job! Thanks for the tour!
